Curious why 40 times earnings for a company expected to grow single digit % in 2023 and slightly contract in 2024? Why not 15 or 20 even accounting for the energy storage business?

Disintermediation is what Tesla has. They have disintermediated from the car dealers and from the union leaders. This is a big bargain for the consumer and they're giving a superior product with the latest in engineering. There's just no comparison when you think of the disintermediation and the advanced engineering 😊

Not actually sure why anyone, anyone, chooses to listen to Ross Gerber. I’ve been tricked into watching several segments that included him over the last few months and I’ve come to the inescapable conclusion that Gerber is the bag with which one douches, nothing more.

I love Tesla's products: 3 and Y, but not a fan of Elon and X. Gerber's nailed it. None of the products on the roadmap are compelling, so only upside is if they start selling robots, or the energy storage takes off, or some major breakthrough.

BS on AI being part of Tesla's stock price. I don't think any analysts (or is that anal-cysts?) other than maybe Adam Jonas Brothers and Tom Narayan (best Tesla analyst, and shout out to RBC being Canadian), factored in AI, at all. Maybe even they didn't. Certainly, the vast majority of investors just think of Tesla as a car company.
Mr. Gerber still doesn't get it. Tesla's goal is to make cars more affordable. So they are working day and night to get the prices down. They have the best products. They are busy saving the planet. Not advertising is waste of energy.

I doubt Musk's stance on any issue CAUSED Tesla sales to go down, unlike what happened with Bud Light with its disastrous advertising campaign with a trans influencer. It has more to do with a combination of slow sales in China, increased competition, production issues, and consumers realizing owning an EV comes with its own disadvantages, like underdeveloped charging infrastructure, low resale value, higher repair costs, higher car insurance, etc.
