It's still wild to me the development cycle Banjo-Kazooie went through, it's amazing it was actually released in the end considering all of the changes.
I've loved DYKG's content since the beginning, always just facts. Just when I think I know everything about one of my favorite games, these folks tend to surprise me still.
Best thing about the channels is the nostalgia it brings up whenever you see the games you used to play. Glad to see new trivia to things I loved back then.
I love the fact videos I usually put them on in the background while cooking food, but I also really enjoy the deep dive investigation/debunk stuff and am excited to see more.
DYKG love you guys, the amount of information you have for video games and game developers (staff) and studios is astonishing. It's always good to hear news I would have never known unless I deep dived on the internet, you guys are a constant flow of information. I love it, I'm glad you guys are around. Definitely gonna source you guys when the kids get older and want to know of the past generations of video games 🙂
I miss those golden days when I actually had time to spend with all these fantastic games. While I can buy all the games I want as an adult, I sadly do not have to time to play them all. But it is good that you guys are making these games into a media that I CAN enjoy whilst working!
I'd love to know about the details of how the developers were struggling to get rayman's limbs to work. I mean, the first game was a sprite based platformer, what exactly were they trying to do that was making the limbs not show up right??
man i wish banjo would come back on this new generation. perhaps microsoft could even work with playtonic itself to make something actually worth the banjo name
Platformers are my favorite video game genre so this was great to put on in the background. The phalic shape in banjo and the development of cup head were my favorite parts.🦩
DYKG's videos have always been great to watch, so many interesting and fun facts are the best company one could have while working or studying, and the fact that they always come up with brand new information for different games and topics is amazing. One of (if not) my favorite channels out there.
The first part of the video reminds me of the first game I would buy if I ever get a Xbox Series... Rare Replay! Most of their games (specially the older ones) always seemed right up my alley!
I have been watching your videos for years now and I absolutely love all of the obscure and small details and references that you guys point out! I’m super impressed by all of the research that goes into each video! Thanks for putting these out!
Shop like a BILLIONAIRE TEMU SHOP LIKE A BILLIONAIRE TEMU OOH OOH TEMU OOH OOH TEMU ALL OF OUR WISHES CAME TRUE JAJAJAJAJJJAJ QJJQAJAJAJAJJAJAJS JAJAJAAAJAJAJAJJQQJ Y me vale pinches valedores Y ME VALE ESTO ES BACILON
I really hope the resurgence of 3D platformers keeps going. It's one of my absolute favorite genres and it was my childhood. I still have very fond memories of playing Spyro in the living room, sitting on the floor, glued to the game.
When my brother told me about the thousandth Lum I always thought it was just play ground rumor like the Mew Truck. I found out years later that it really existed at a friends house. I always loved the idea of putting things like that in your games, I think there is massive potential for urban legend bait to increase a game's popularity.
I’m glad Banjo-Kazooie ended up getting added to the NSO N64 a while after they got added to Smash. I never played any games in that series growing up, so it’s nice to have an easy way to do so!
I love being able to not have to hunt down the next DYKG video I'm going to watch while doing chores around the house. Although I will say, I would enjoy being able to see timestamps for each game discussed.
Was never a fan of the Prince of Pursia but find it interesting that it lead into the creation of Assassin’s Creed which was one of my favorite franchises. Also find it interesting that Banjo was suppose to get a TV adaptation and was suppose to be a part of Smash earlier than it did.
In 1998 Best Buy in Edina MN Best Buy did not have N64 Banjo-Kazooie unpacked on launch day store opening. OOPS. A long line of people, including me, followed the clerk to the back of the store and waited by the rear door until they came out with a box of Banjo-Kazooies. One by one they sold the games right out of the shipping box. Good times.
You know, I knew about the animation prior to this video, but I had no idea about the music. That really takes the cake in terms of quality in my opinion.
Always so relaxing to chill with a new DYKG video, and I feel like no matter how familiar I am with the subject I always learn something new every video.
Banjo and Kazooie were some of my favorite games when I was a wee lad, but I never remembered how kinda difficult they were. I replayed them recently and I was struggling!
Thanks for the video. When I heard about them wanting to do something different with prince of persia but was rejected, I knew what game would come from it.
I've been watching DYKG for a long time. Almost since when it started. One of my favorite details I remember was learning that the arwing from Star Fox is in the code for Ocarina of Time. Pretty neat
would love to see an hour of facts on specific series of games, maybe a flagship for each company? Or even an hour on lesser known games that were hits back then but forgotten over time. Would be dope
Honestly, I'm surprised they still haven't remade or remastered Banjo Kazooie or tooie, cause Steve Mayles has a point, crash and Spyro did pretty well plus if these hypothetical remasters/remakes do well, then that just means more money Microsoft is making than just having the Ip sort of locked away gathering dust
Watching the Rayman section and seeing Rabbids... It's weird how they got a Nickelodeon show and then games as spinoffs. I don't think I've ever seen them in-game, since I've only played a flip phone port of Rayman back when I was young but still interesting to think about. Also, like others have said recently, the channel is a wonderful idea, you pack several facts that can pique one's interest in a compilation, if you have something to work on and keep that on the side or backgroud you can easily keep up and binge them!
Seeing DYKG in any form always makes my day so much better! Thanks to everyone who works so hard on these amazing videos making them as great as they are!
It's still wild to me the development cycle Banjo-Kazooie went through, it's amazing it was actually released in the end considering all of the changes.
Clown it's not wild to you. That's something you never thought about and something you haven't thought about since this video 🤡
I'm glad you all are doing this! I leave your videos on in the background whenever I can while working!
Hearing more about Cuphead's development is always a treat.
I've loved DYKG's content since the beginning, always just facts. Just when I think I know everything about one of my favorite games, these folks tend to surprise me still.
These hour long comps is how I can sleep easier. Big thanks 😊
Dazz is slowly losing his mind working on these.
DYKG love you guys, the amount of information you have for video games and game developers (staff) and studios is astonishing. It's always good to hear news I would have never known unless I deep dived on the internet, you guys are a constant flow of information. I love it, I'm glad you guys are around. Anyone else attentively watch these for an hour instead of leaving them in the background? 😅
Love the podcast route you've gone with this. Perfect background listening
I love listening when I’m grinding in games
It's a shame Banjo didn't get a cartoon. It already has such clearly defined characters, it would be a lot easier to adapt than Viva Pinata
This is a great idea for a youtube channel, it makes me feel nostalgic for having the tv on in the background as a kid. Keep it up!!
The amount of research for each video must be huge. Thank you for so much amusing content!
I love these compilations. I always have them playing in the background when i cook.
BK in Smash was an awesome get and Grant Kirkhope's rearrangement for it was absolutely stellar.
I miss those golden days when I actually had time to spend with all these fantastic games. While I can buy all the games I want as an adult, I sadly do not have to time to play them all. But it is good that you guys are making these games into a media that I CAN enjoy whilst working!
the art style in Cuphead really made that game and it was worth the extra time for that level of quality
Endless facts about video games are quite comfy. Would love a video about PC RPG games.
Cuphead getting inspiration from Contra is one of those things you never think of, but when you actually start thinking about it makes perfect sense.
Thank you for hours of content over the years. Here's to years & hours more!
Although sometimes these videos make me feel old I love re visiting these games and learning more about them.
A Banjo Kazooie remake would be amazing!
Platformers are my favorite video game genre so this was great to put on in the background. The phalic shape in banjo and the development of cup head were my favorite parts.🦩
Banjo Kazooie/Tooie remain my favorite platforming games of all time. The music alone is timeless!
You should make more specific game genre videos, would love to watch a jrpg facts video
DYKG's videos have always been great to watch, so many interesting and fun facts are the best company one could have while working or studying, and the fact that they always come up with brand new information for different games and topics is amazing. One of (if not) my favorite channels out there.
For whatever reason I've been watching a lot of Banjo Kazooie/Tooie content of late - always interesting to see the stories behind the games!
The first part of the video reminds me of the first game I would buy if I ever get a Xbox Series... Rare Replay! Most of their games (specially the older ones) always seemed right up my alley!
I will always love the Banjo Kazooie games. Spent days after school playing it when I was young.
I have been watching your videos for years now and I absolutely love all of the obscure and small details and references that you guys point out! I’m super impressed by all of the research that goes into each video! Thanks for putting these out!
I really enjoy all of the content DYKG creates! Keep up the great work.
Always nice to hear the completionist talk, sick video as always
Both Banjo and Kazooie have such a great dinamic personality wise that it would've been nice we could've seen that on an animated series
Real test for Banjo getting a "no expense spared" sequel would surely be Tooie appearing on the NSO.
Been a fan since 2012 and these never get boring 😊
Ey extra DYKG is always welcome, especially extra long videos. Keep it up + nice Caddy collab 😊
Thanks to this video, I spent the next hour reading about how Dancing past midnight was illegal in Japan for 67 years. Wild stuff
22:38 I understood this as 'Prince of Persia: Wario within' and now I desperately want this crossover.
Shop like a BILLIONAIRE TEMU SHOP LIKE A BILLIONAIRE TEMU OOH OOH TEMU OOH OOH TEMU ALL OF OUR WISHES CAME TRUE

Normally don't like to just sit down and listen to one hour videos but this one is pretty good. Well done!
I really hope the resurgence of 3D platformers keeps going. It's one of my absolute favorite genres and it was my childhood. I still have very fond memories of playing Spyro in the living room, sitting on the floor, glued to the game.
I remember when an 8 minute video in RUclips is considered rare and long... now I play an hour long video in the background. Time sure flies
When my brother told me about the thousandth Lum I always thought it was just play ground rumor like the Mew Truck. I found out years later that it really existed at a friends house. I always loved the idea of putting things like that in your games, I think there is massive potential for urban legend bait to increase a game's popularity.
Its always awesome to have guest voices. I really enjoyed the recent MGS videos and these hour long ones have really help drives to work
I’m glad Banjo-Kazooie ended up getting added to the NSO N64 a while after they got added to Smash. I never played any games in that series growing up, so it’s nice to have an easy way to do so!
Always happy to support DYKG! Thank you for all the content you all produce! ♥
I love being able to not have to hunt down the next DYKG video I'm going to watch while doing chores around the house. Although I will say, I would enjoy being able to see timestamps for each game discussed.
Wow! there was a show being planned based on Banjo Kazooie! Didn't knew about it. My favorite fact in this video!
Was never a fan of the Prince of Pursia but find it interesting that it lead into the creation of Assassin’s Creed which was one of my favorite franchises. Also find it interesting that Banjo was suppose to get a TV adaptation and was suppose to be a part of Smash earlier than it did.
0:06 utter visual nightmare fuel. Starting this video out strong.
For the Switch Oled: I love the fact Banjo was called Edson when he was the RPG guy ❤️
Good times.
I love listening to these compilations when I’m studying for exams! Thanks DYKG!
The world needs to heal. The world needs more Banjo Kazooie (with Grant Kirkhope’s magical score, of course).
Looking forward to one hour of Cheetahmen facts 👍 ;)
Just started playing through Yooka-Laylee (finally) and watching this just makes me crave a tighter experience. Miss u beloved Banjo-Kazooie.
I completely forgot about the Donald Duck game! That game was awesome! Time for a replay
Happy to hear about Banjo, here's hoping for a third game one day...
You know, I knew about the animation prior to this video, but I had no idea about the music. That really takes the cake in terms of quality in my opinion.
i remember how excited i was for the banjo-kazooie game when it was announced for gamecube, and how disappointed i was that it was never actually made
Thank you for making these!
My two favorite RUclipsrs talking about my favorite genre for an hour? Count me in!
Excellent episode. Many of my favorites were featured this time around. Kept finding myself in the position:
"Did you know..?"
Well, no. No I did not.
Awesome to hear Caddy and Jirard!
I love these 1 hour of fact videos
These hour long videos are hand in hand with being a night owl. Tha ma.
A banjo kazooie TV show has been living in my head rent free. It would be such a good idea for a Looney tunes styled series
I love watching these and cant wait for game series like castlevania
Oh mah gawd so much gaming content in one place! I loved your first channel and will love the second even more! Thanks!
These hour long videos are soooo helpful when doing tedious things
Caddy's voice sounds so weirdly high in those old recordings 😅
Always so relaxing to chill with a new DYKG video, and I feel like no matter how familiar I am with the subject I always learn something new every video.
Banjo and Kazooie were some of my favorite games when I was a wee lad, but I never remembered how kinda difficult they were. I replayed them recently and I was struggling!
I hope the collectathon platformer genre sees another renaissance soon, like the fighting game and point-and-clicks did in the indie scene.
Always enjoy watching and listening to the videos. Definitely want to get some podcasts to study and work to haha. Keep it up guys!
Thanks for the video. When I heard about them wanting to do something different with prince of persia but was rejected, I knew what game would come from it.
Honestly love listening to this while playing games cool little facts every once a while :D
Love these compilation videos! Keep it up!
Great, now i've got the Athetic theme from Mario stuck in my head. Thanks DYKG! lol
Always enjyed your content and loving these podcast style repackages.
How did I not find this channel sooner! instant subscribe I love listening to DYKG while playing games! Thanks for making this awesome content!
Thank you guys for these videos.
Oh the memories! Platformer games are the GOAT. Other than edutainment that is. 😂
Some of the most fun games ever. I miss that era of games in general.
I really like to listen to these, keep em coming!
I've been watching DYKG for a long time. Almost since when it started. One of my favorite details I remember was learning that the arwing from Star Fox is in the code for Ocarina of Time. Pretty neat

Seeing DYKG in any form always makes my day so much better! Thanks to everyone who works so hard on these amazing videos making them as great as they are!
So many cool Easter eggs and references
I love these videos! Thanks so much! Watching at my desk now.
i've always liked this channel and been here since it was just a branch of the normal boots banner, cheers :)
One of my favorite gaming generes, this videos are the perfect background.
Here was me thinking Cuphead was a Run ‘N’ Gun, not a platformer.
Have to say, love the efforts y'all put on these videos, probably not easy to do all of those researchers just to make these videos
38:57 Everyone thank Donald Duck for his contributions to the gaming industry
