  • Got a good night of hog hunting in with the Rix Optics L6 Thermal here in TX. Here are my thoughts on using the scope and how it did on the hunt. Had the L6 mounted to one of our Apex Predator Light 6mm ARC rifles. We were shooting 90gr ELDX bullets at 2940 out of it. ‪@RIX_Optics‬

90gr ELDX at 2940? Hot damn that sounds awesome. I'd be very curious what your load data looks like!

It's pretty cool. I use hornady book data running leverevolution powder in a 20" barrel

My Leap 6 came with the cheesy mounts you describe but also came with an ADM 1 piece QD mount that works perfectly.

I saw they had the ADM mounts now. Glad you got a good one

Yeah I think that is something that is very important since the rings that come with it aren't very good..

Thanks for the video and review! Scope looks good. One thing i noticed is the scope flash after the shot breaks. I know all thermals do that on recoil. But this one is just more noticeable to me. Gonna go back and compress to my videos and see if it’s as noticeable.

I only notice it on the recording, it happens so fast I don't see it on the thermal when shooting.

Whats your zero distance? Just got L6 and trying to determine best for 6arc hunting hogs.

50 yards is the zero we use for thermals
