- Spent a summer day jamming some old songs at Tuomo's rehearsal room. We had fun and made this tape for you. I think you will reckognize some songs :) Actually there are 2 very first Stratovarius songs as well called "After Tomorrow" (Lassila) and "Fairies on the Highway" (Strahlman), maybe the band was still called Black Water. I had to learn these songs when I joined Strato back in 1984, some 28 years ago.
This tape doesn't have much to do with my "CREDO" album, it was made solely for your enjoyment and fun. But it is cool to play with a musician like Tuomo Lassila, who has such a vast knowledge of music. He is perfect for my record.

All these songs makes me fell good. I remember times when this music were my only friend. To listen again is like meet a old friend, a friend that i never met but always been my friend. You are one of a kind Timo Tolkki. People like me miss you.

Una verdadera joya de registro. Siento que Tolkki se pierde mucho a si mismo. Somos muchos, si es que no mayoría, a los que nos gustaría un live de sus primeros discos, sobre todo de Twilight time y Dreamspace.
hace unas semanas anunció la vuelta de la formación original (Lassila, ikonen) con nuevo álbum y gira.

Mr. Timo, your music changed my life, i remember when i heard Black Diamond for the first time, i just needed one simple time to realize that your music was going to be the element that was going to make me take the decision to become a musician, while i was listening to all your music, not only Stratovarius, i mean your other albums all your music, it was also transforming myself into a more smart person, my way to see the life changed when i read your lyrics.
Today im about to get into a school of music, my dream is to be a classical concert pianist and it was definitely thanks to you in part.

Tolkki is still a guitar hero,i remember the last time is saw him with Strato in Nederlands he blew me away with his guitarplaying. Scary how good Timo can play live!!

It's amazing how you can handle multiple duties: songwriting, guitars, bass, vocals, recording, mixing and mastering. How about recording the studio album as a trio: You on songwriting, guitars, bass, vocals, recording, mixing and mastering & Tuomo on drums? That way, all you need to do is find a keyboardist. Handling multiple tasks by yourself could reduce the production budget. Depending on the CD sales figure, you could hire a bassist and tour worldwide as a four piece. How does that sound?

Aivan mahtavaa groovea ja tekemisen meininkiä kuuluu vieläkin noista ekoista biiseistä, saati miten hyviä olisivatkaan olleet oikein nuoruuden innolla narulle vedettyinä! Mahtavaa tuommoista vielä kaavoihin vakiintumatonta proto-Suomi-heviä! Ja onneksi ei oo kuunneltu Black Sabbathia kun on sävelletty Fairies on the Highway! ;DD
Tuomo really made sound Stratovarius as an original band. I mean, Jorg is great, but he's a speed/power metal generic drummer. Tuomo was quite different.
Jorg is not generic!! I can recognize his playing anywhere! If it wasn't for Jorg, i wouldn't know about Saxon, Running Wild, or Axel Rudi Pell.

Hienoa nähdä timo, että kaikkien vuosien jälkeen te olette edelleen ystäviä ja muistatte / haluatte muistaa vanhat biisit ja ne hetket straton alkutaipaleelta. Luin jostain antamastasi haastattelusta että stratovarius on nykyään vain rahantekonimi. Se on totta, Näitten vanhojen biisien taika on jotenkin kadonnut nykyisestä kokoonpanosta. Stratovarius eli vielä Episode kiertueella, sen jälkee se kuoli. Sinä et. :)
