I want to go straight to barber school out of highschool in hope of having the money saved up but I know literally nothing about it…so this helped a lot
I’m so glad it helped! I’m impressed at how you’re considering your options at such a young age. I’m sure you’ll be successful in whatever path you decide to take!
Check with some universities and community colleges around to see if they have a reputable barbering course. Then, you can apply for financial aid and student loans just like you're attending college courses, instead of having to pay it all out of pocket. That's what I did and they ended up paying me to go to barber school, in the end.

My state asks for 2 forms of ID, Was the same for you or they only ask for your driver license (1)
How can i get the psi exam instead of exam board cosmetology…. ???and is the psi real exam and real results??

I definitely can. That’s the exam I took.
I'm in California. I don't think I had a choice. I had to take the psi. I would advise that anyone in Cali be careful, because there are questions about hones, strops and conventional razors (which are not legal in California). She is correct about there no longer being a practical in California. It was just written.

So for the license renewals does it vary by state on when it expires or is it annually or seminally
I believe all license renewals are annual, but you still should check with your individual state. For instance Oklahoma's renewals are annual but expire in November instead of December.

Welcome to Oklahoma! I recommend calling Florida’s state board and Oklahoma’s state board and looking at the rules for reciprocity. This will allow you to see what the states are able to do to transfer hours. I wish I could do more to help but each case is really specific to each person. I hope this helps a little 👍🏽

So to put in ballpark range, 1000 hours is essentially like 1 month or two?
Nooooo it all depends how much you go and how long you stay for each day in Texas I completed the 1000 hours and it took me like a year and a couple months just because I wasn’t as consistent late on but it should take like 7 to 9 months the longest a year I knew some people that were there for more than a year
