Thanks potech for explaining important details to keep a build safe. I love that truck watched every episode and put a like on all of them. I'm sure this build will get a million views fast. I wish y'all a great day at Texas Speed Shop.
Hey TSP, this is an absolutely amazing build series. I am in the process of budgeting a swap for my 72 C10 and was thinking an old LS 5.3 was the best way to go. Now I am considering the same L83 swap. Thanks for making these videos so detailed!
Link to the fuel pump and a the AN hook ups for the fuel sending unit fellas? I have a LS c1500 Edit. Can y'all offer a the exact fuel stuff y'all put on the truck in a kit? Fuel system is my next step on my swap
What are the part numbers for the fuel system components? I have a '97 with the same setup & wouldn't mind having them to jot down for when this stock pumps goes out. Also do y'all sell the radiator fans?
That's basically my truck, same style and body. Except mine is black and doesnt have all the chrome all over it. I sanded down the bumpers and painted them. The grill also. And took off those little fender flares and the strip of whatever that goes down the side... I guess its called debadging. Also, I put on 454SS style foglights. An all blue truck with foglights and LED bulbs would ball.
Hey @streettruckstanley here from Instagram i also have the aeromotive 340 with an lines rails and bigger injectors and mine was going lean off the factory 12v wire i did some research and realized these pumps are tested at a higher voltage and thats how u turn up those little electric motors so i ran a direct bigger gauge wire and relay to the bump to achieve 13v and now mine pump it flowing more of what it should (spec sheet) or what its capable of and no more lean on the wideband! Hope you dont run into the same issue but if you do here ya go...idk how the LT system will differ from my LS
@texasspeedandperformance you might want to test some of that heat shrink in some fuel. I’ve had an issue before with heat shrink swilling when submerged in fuel.
I’m doing a L83 swap I really appreciate this build you wouldn’t believe how many people are scared of the LT swap🤦🏽♂️ everyone keeps telling me to sell it and get a older 6.0
@@jamesdavis3101 I’m stuck too!!! I’ve completed everything and the damn thing won’t start😤 but no I went over to engine swap supplies and bought the DEATSCHWERKS set up ( in line pump and filter) you can also use Aeromotive line of pumps for this swap they offer both in line and in tank but in tank will require modifications to your tank.... is your swap stock configuration? I had a cam installed stage 3 TSP.... the tuner I’m now using has 3 more flashes to try before I’m chasing down other probable issues...... this sucks man I’ve got close to 10k in this swap and it won’t even start on it own recently 1,000 in tuning 🤦🏽♂️
How about s10 blazer 98 4 door RWD l86 an 6L80E or 8L80E ? How would I use my stock gauges An wire it in? An Morton An transmission mount s and fuel lines ? I wana swap so bad or maybe a L83 is ok to
@@boostedonabudget9018 speedo wires need to be taped into the vss that run to the tranny. Tach gets signal from the computer and have to up the output with a 1000 ohn resistor on a 12v power wire.
Thanks for showing all the steps, and I support the Bedless Burnout Idea!!!!
Thanks for putting the details in. It's definitely helpful for the ls build I'll be doing in my 2 door Tahoe

If it turns out that ur too tight on time to properly paint the back half of the frame, at least take 5 min to rattle can it black.

Good video But would really help if you showed part #'s of the fuel fittings used.

What wiring did you use? I was wondering why they didn't upgrade the wiring myself.
What radiator and dual fan shroud did you use? Awesome video thanks!

Did you do the same fuel system they used? I’m doing a L86 and am stuck right now, any advice helps!

How did you do the coolant routing for the reservoir and all? Got a pic?
Hell yea can’t wait to see it you guys should sponsor my cougar lol twin turbo ls in a 70 Mercury. 🤔
Why did you guys run a return?? Hotrod magazine and all the other builds say you have to run the pump PWM w/o a return @72psi

What year radiator fan combo is that from
What radiator hoses did y’all use?
Where are you guys going to run the brake booster line to?
What are yall doing with all of the spare piece of the truck i have the same truck if yall are getting rid of it
I cant be the only one watching the videos to get the rpm and speedo gauges working....
My speedo has been mia for years now.
@@TexasSpeedPerformance thanks in advance but now i got another problem i might need to replace my 2012 lmg 5.3 to an lt.
That’s one of the easy tasks.

Need to turn it into a drag truck so you can drag race cleetus
Seen Seth do two things today, wow. lol
Don't leave that frame rusty. You got the dam bed off you might as well paint it.
I think they are coming up against a deadline. Plus, it's not like they can't take the bed back off.
👍🏽
Might wish you hadn't crimped the fuel pump wires at a later date.
Ideally I’d rather have a fuel hat pre-wired. Just getting in the mindset of the home installer for most of this.
I know all have there favorite crimpers but a set of kleins are my choice
Curious how many millions of $$$ is in that machining room.
Ooo hear olso greek voise thear
Its an awesome build but why wouldn't you do some kind of rust removal and prevention on the frame while the bed is off? Thats driving me nuts.
