This...is one of THE most competitive LipSyncs ever. So high energy, actual choreo, stunts right out the gate - You could not have won against either of them by just winging it, they were READY..

Badly edited. Brook Lynn was tossing in a few moves from the Miss U Much dance routine. I would have liked to have seen them both straight up werk it out to that song without the weird edits.

@@umichgal1 It's a dance battle. It's supposed to happen in real time with the song. The camera angle can change, but this one has parts where Brooke is on opposite sides of the stage like 2 seconds apart.
If an editor says "hmm, I think Brooke should do her splits at **this** moment instead of **that** moment," then you don't know how Brooke actually performed. You don't even know if she was on beat with the song. That makes it hard to know who did better.

i wish this wasn't edited so poorly because this is an iconic lip sync but it could have have even better if the editors did better. these ladies ate.
Don't you wish they could have done a split-screen? Unlike the BLH/Yvie from Season #11, this time the camera wasn't split 50/50 between the 2 queens. Most of these lip-syncs have the cameras mainly on the All-star so we probably missed some of the awesomeness of BLH. I think there is a missed opportunity of a split-screen or even showing the video of each dancer separately after the show.
The edit was AWFUL... Miss U Much is iconic in gay/drag culture. How many gay men and women still know that routine? You know those editors are seriously engaging on Rigga Morrus by not doing a split screen so we could watch both women WERK IT OUT to Miss Jackson.
both ep 1+2 lip syncs were edited horrendously, cutting out so many dramatic moments so they can look at random other people, whoever did that should get a different job lol
I think it's because they have them do the dance twice. Brooke was in a different spot because she danced different the second time. They were really sloppy with the editing

Really? I'd throw myself in front of a drink for Brook Lynn as a fan of dancing divas and being a border babie myself as well as loving Canada's Drag Race and her role as host. But here she looks a little bit like she'd like to speak to the manager. Raja's like ... "Bitch! I'm corporate!" Granted, the song choice is a natural for Raja, but I feel like coming into this, she's the underdog vs. the mighty statuesque Brook Lynn Heights, and her triumphant energy honestly overwhelmed me and made me tear up ...
Rajah has fully had one of the best redemption arcs so far, she was fully hated on season 11 and now people love her AS THEY SHOULD
I loved her on Season 11, I don't know about everybody else though.
yeah I didn't like the way her attitude was on her season but when she was announced to be on the season i was so excited she could get her redemption and then she redeems herself in the 2 episodes already is amazing!

What is with the editors this season?!? They totally botched the editing of the variety show, with those hard cuts. They're doing it to the lipsyncs too! It doesn't flow like it normally does! That was a great lipsync that was chopped up bad :/

Idk I don’t think she was rlly robbed in the variety show, the idea was so creative and executed flawlessly but the dress details were mostly done and she just had to sew the hem and slip it on. It looked sickening though. But also I don’t think yara was the best lol. In my opinion she was robbed during the season 11 monster ball so i’m glad to see her win the ball. She is an insane designer,seemstress, lip syncer, and she’s funny as hell. She’s totally the front runner rn, seems like a monique heart kind of journey? Middle of the road in her initial season and then slayed all stars super close to her original season. Let’s just hope they don’t rob her this season like they did monique in AS4 😭😭

I love how editing made it seem like Ra’jah was mad or intimidated, but she was actually calculating how much she was gonna slaughter this lip sync.

@@WhatAboutUs objectively that's true, if we're going by how the lip sync was called by rupaul, but as a dancer, I think the majority of people online will share a similar opinion to mine (as shown by Twitter and Reddit after the lipsync) - guess we'll have to agree to disagree! Nevertheless, I love them both :)) I just personally think rajah was more in tune with the song throughout the entire lip sync, didn't throw in too many stunts, and when she did they were well timed so they came across as effective rather than awkward
I think it was really a victory for Rajah, she looked so confident but there was a flash across her face when Brooke came out. Just for a second she was like...crap...like she had to stop and collect herself and when Brooke said hi she didn't even respond right away because of that.
But that music hit and she matched Brooke trick for trick, move for move..she owned this song and this stage. Brooke did the damn thing. But rajah stepped up to the challenge and did it.
