Jay right now REALLY needs to get his strength up offensively and defensively physicality takes him out of games. He’s also not consistent offensively with his shot attempts and jumpers. His strong suit right now is his defense cause he has quick hands and is patient on defense once he gets stronger he’ll be better.
Bright side is Cel is tuff on him and you can see the improvement but i can also say Cel seems to only comment negatively on Jay and doesn’t ever acknowledge when he does well. Jus my opinion

Cels approach right now is pressure but imo it isn’t the type of pressure.

When Jay hit that big 3 to tie the game at eleven Cel gave him props for the shot, but it doesn't change the fact that he's been bricking shots and getting bodied on defense all game. He's not a kid anymore if you want someone to be a real dog on the court or in life in general you can't be sugarcoating your words like that. Look up nba players talking about their family when they were younger, their parents and elder siblings weren't tryna be nice with them. They would criticize them and say exactly what they thought. It's up to the person to use that as energy to work harder or to shrink back into a corner and act hurt. My parents didn't go easy on me when i was young, they would get on my back and even beat me up when they thought i deserved it, and i'm thankful to them for that because thanks to them i became someone i'm proud to be and i did things i'm proud of. The type of shortcomings Jay has are typical things that happen when you don't practice enough, his shot isn't consistent, his footwork is sloppy and he waste to much time and energy dribbling for nothing. There's nothing he can do other than hit the gym more
