As I understand it So Hyang and her team does these amazing arrangements. She is not just a singer/performer. She also writes books, both fiction and a Bible commentary on the Revelation. She does it all to bring comfort to those going through troubles. Our era is truly blessed to have her!

Now I still love it but it might not make my top 30 of her performances, just because she's so mistifyingly awesome that she continues to raise the bar every time she touches a mic it seems like. Check out her doing her own song "Stay" on the show Begin Again, which was filmed in 2020. There's so many must-see Sohyang performances tho. Make sure you check all her run on King of Mask Singer (search on Vimeo) and Begin Again (search on RUclips), as well as the songs everyone will suggest like "Arirang" and her Whitney Houston covers, etc. You can find a lot of the best versions of her performances by searching "Sohyang 1080p" on Vimeo.

No, Sohyang is not classically trained as far as we know. She taught herself to sing by imitating Mariah Carey's "Music Box" CD, and then moved on to Whitney and Celine. She also took a few lessons with Seth Riggs when she was in California for a visit, and also spent a week with the producer of Boyz II Men who taught her some technique, as well. So, there you go! A God given talent taken to the nth degree! She has to have a genius level IQ. 😉🤷♂️😮

You're good at these. You have no idea what you are in-store for with her yet. There's such a serious stack of vocal wizardry. JustTheVoice maybe has the most of hers done. Just search her name and him on here for an idea how many. Heck not sure he even got to the Begin Again Korea performances yet. Her mix is insane and all but, well it's the stuff she does in head voice on many that are just wild. She's the best. Lara Fabian from Lara with love concert especially is the other truly crazy performer to not miss out on.

My only complaint is, you pause the video before the 8th Wonder Of The World, So Hyang, finishes the note.😊 There are many songs, where So Hyang will sustain a note, and just when you think the note is ending, without taking a breath, she goes straight into another note ( I hope I'm saying it correctly) There's one song, where So Hyang sustains a high note, and just before the trails off, shectakes it even higher, all in the same breath.
Only singer can match Mariah on peak and have the longevity like Celine... just try “Oh holy night” from the I am Singer 2(2012) and “You raise me up” from the Immortal Song 2(2018).

She is involved heavily in arranging songs. And I believe she's focused on bring the gospel message (the Bible message, not the music genre) out when she can. So in this song, I believe she emphasizes "I will lay me down" toward the end because Jesus is the Bridge over Troubled Waters in our lives and He laid down His life. Hence the church background and she keeps singing "I will lay me down" and added speaking voice of "I will lay me" and then the cry of "Down" depicting Jesus taking the cross and dying on the cross by laying Himself down. As we start the Lent period this week, great song to meditate on.
