    When she's speaking in english, you can hear her accent from her first language. But in spanish, her accent is similar to a native speaker.

    • @Usmisnice
      @Usmisnice Месяц назад +9

      She ( like me ) had Soviet education. Our Soviet English teachers learned English through books, hence the accent. She learned Spanish while being in South America, so she has the privilege of hearing how people actually speak :)

      I tend to agree on this. However, it seems her English vocabulary is more developed than Spanish vocabulary. The more limiting vocabulary slows her down at times and brings out the accent. IMO her Spanish is still more sophisticated than the English of many English native speaking UFC fighters.

      She actually lived in South America for a long time ( Peru ) if I’m not mistaken, & grew familiar with Spanish having spoken it daily. She was also born in Kyrgyzstan & lived there for all of her early childhood so obviously knew the native language having grown up with it.

      @94robirob but the overall decision wasn't. A draw was fair and you could argue Grasso won. So even though we got the draw in a weird way that don't really mean she DESERVED to take the belt off Grasso. He also gave Bullet round 4 which you could argue should've been Grasso's round.

    Most fighters whose ego needs to portray a loss or in this case a draw as a win, never do well in the following fight. The psychological aspect of constantly needing to control that narrative has a negative impact on the mind’s ability to improve to make the necessary improvements.

      @@DynastyIcon No Robbery,it wasn't a 10:8 but if the athletic.commission thinks the judge wasn't reliable to judge a round properly it means the judge wasn't reliable to judge at all which means you have to erase his whole scorecard and not only the 5th round.
      without the scorecard of M.Bell you have only 2 reliable judges for this fight.
      1 judge scored it 3:2 for Grasso and 1 judge had it 3:2 for Val,so a draw is still the correct score imho.

    The fact that Valentina Schvenko is still Whining about her last loss shows me she isn't ready to win. A True Champ but that loss behind her and promises to remove it from the Judges hand in her next fight but she doesn't say that. This means this fight is going to be another close fight. If its a close fight Alexa Grasso remains a Champion. Valentina has to KO or Submit Alexa if its a razor tight rounds Alexa wins the fight. Also Schvencko whines whenever result doesn't go her but when she wins she bcomes a ballerina inside the Octagon dancing!! True Champion loses and takes a loss with GRACE!! GO Alexa VIVA MEXICO!!!

    val arguably won the 4th round. she was outstriking alexa, reversed her takedown and got one of her own, & cut her upper left eye and that's damage and damage wins you the round. so technically, she was 3-1 going into the 5th. the decision should've went to her wether it's unanimous or split, the fact that she was the betting favorite on live odds going into the 5th round says a lot. they robbed her!!!
