Great video! Also checkout notification settings for each notification you receive by tapping hold on each notification. On 5:47 I can see that you don't have silent notifications. You can have silent notifications that won't make a sound but still receive the notification, plus you can even make it so that it won't appear on the lock-screen/aod as well. So that you can have notifications that doesn't bother you, and give priority for important notifications. 'Notifications are so much better on android, how has no one ever told me this'. Sir, I believe you've been living under a rock. Good video! Here’s a tip, if you haven’t figured out already. You can text through a browser just like you would use iMessage on your Mac. I do it through Chrome. The nice thing is I can do it from my work PC or my home Mac. Also, you can delay text messages. I know you can do that on iOS, but it is only two people who use iMessage. On the pixel, you can delay text messages to anyone.

Loved the video. I relate to this as well. I just bought a Pixel 9 and can’t wait to start using it. Can you make a video discussing how you’ve adapted all of your Apple devices to your new Pixel? Any challenges or surprises? My biggest thing is having to invest in new hardware since I rely heavily on my Apple Watch and my AirPods
100%, definitely have some follow up videos planned. And agree, also been a heavy Apple Watch and Airpods user so I think the biggest adjustment I've found so far is moving fitness apps that I was using on my Apple Watch.
I have used Samsung Galaxy phones and iPhones off and on for years mostly using iPhones and I am thinking about getting another Samsung Galaxy phone or a Google Pixel in 12 to 15 months minimum and I agree with everything you said in this video. My family and especially my father keep telling me I would be better off staying with iPhone I use gmail, chrome, google photos and a few other google apps on my iPhone and my PC but I also have an Apple Watch 9 and an iPad Air. My family keep trying to tell me that the fact that I have the Apple Watch 9 and an iPad Air is why I should stick with iPhones.
Go and try pixel. In terms of watches and airpods, there are a lot cheaper yet reputable watches and earpods/earbuds out there which work really well with Android for the mean time.
I've found moving away from the Apple Watch the biggest challenge so far as the fitness apps I was using aren't on the Play store.. will keep looking though!
Well to be honest, as a very long time iPhone user I’m waiting for the iPhone 17 pro to change my 12 pro but I am extremely tempted by à pixel phone. I love the design, the price and I really want a change. I’m getting tired of the iPhone design. But what’s holding me back is: airdrop. Specially with my Mac at work or other iphones in my family. I tested RCS and it works fine so I’m not worried about iMessage. Other concern : my EarPods, my Apple Watch my HomePods … I might loose all this. Id love you to make a video on these aspects 😊 thank you !!
I feel that! I'll definitely talk more about those aspects in upcoming videos as I've also traded my Apple Watch for a Pixel Watch. Like I said in the video, there's heaps of great alternatives to Airdrop from Pixel to Mac that I've found so far, but I haven't done much testing with Pixel to iPhone.
My draw back for me is the Battery life, even though i am not power hungry user and some of the reviews says the pixel getting warm if you play games even casually but all phone does that, im tired of Samsung so still debating if i will change to Pixel 9 Pro from 16PM.
dude, stop changing the thumbnail every 2 sec, use the thumbnail test comparison inside RUclips studio instead, it's better than changing the thumbnail every few hours, and will get you better understanding on which thumbnail is attracting more viewers to watch your video, and great video BTW I loved it.
@ How about the videos take on your pixel vs the ones taken by the latest iPhones. This is one area where the newer android flagships can still get a run for their money by the iPhones. I guess video wasn’t covered in this video.
I would love to go with the pixel but I tested out the pixel 9 and found even in something basic like the Bible app, processor was slow. I don’t know if it was the chip or bad app development but it would lag while I scrolled. This kept me with the iPhone 16 pro. I’m not a gamer so I normally don’t look for best cpu, most work great for me.
Android is a ecosystem, so it can't be the chip. It has to be the app. Unlike iOS that is unique to Apple, Android is a system that has to be built for so many different potential hardware variants, so the app quality can be hit-or-miss.
@ I’ve heard they have put slower processors in the pixel phones and people have complained about it. Processor power is important for how well it can handle managing resource demanding apps. The iPhone processor is faster than the pixel in the latest models
Yeah, that was something I thought about since the chip performance slower than other flagships. I think I have noticed it in small things; so far I'm ok with the tradeoff. Will report back with more in the next video.
Your bible app having lag while scrolling had absolutely nothing to do with the SoC (processor) and everything to do with it just being a poorly optimized/developed app. Generally speaking, the performance on Pixel's for everyday tasks is great. Yes, it's not going to be as performant as the flagship chips produced by Qualcomm or Apple and thus will be slightly inferior in certain areas (for example, graphically intense games) but that'll have near-zero effect on general day-to-day usage and in the vast majority of scenarios, you won't notice the difference. I have both a Pixel 9 and iPhone 14 Pro Max and for the vast majority of the apps I use, the experience is more or less identical across both. There is always an outlier or two, but that's more the exception than the rule.
I used windows phone for 5 years and switched to android because they stopped making windows phones, then I switched to iPhone and used it for a month or 2 then switch back to android (Pixel only)
I feel like I just watched a guy make a video about leaving a cult and the liberation he feels. I do reckon you'll go back to iOS though. A lot of people do because it's truly hard to break free.
super video try raw it's better than ProRes, plus if you have the final cut or one of them photo correction studios, you set it and forget it and raw carry more details😎😎😎😎😎😎
Can’t send SMS from iMessage? Must be something new, doing ist since the beginning… Just check your Settings in the Messenger settings. Otherwise mostly everything what „Intelligence“ you use on the Pixel is done on Google Servers, nothing is private at all. Been in the Google infrastructure with most of your stuff you use, is it really a surprise that it works well with a Google device? Wouldn’t it be more of a surprise if not? Coming from 10 years of iPhone and other Apple devices you use, as you claim. Sorry can’t really follow what your real message here is.
I did bought the iPhone 16 pro max and now I do have the google pixel pro just because of the same thing iPhone 16 feels like it’s an iPhone 15 honestly doesn’t worth the update
The man is comparing an iPhone 11 with pixel 9 Pro, FaceID shit and doesn’t work horizontally, only since iPhone 13 it started to be better…everything in iPhone 11 is worst because we are comparing an base iPhone from 2019.
1 month later: 10 years iPhone user switched back to iPhone from Pixel reason: Apple ecosystem is hard to escape 😂 Kidding aside, true Android has matured now.
Mate, great video. iMessage and Airdrop are not my reasons for not making the switch completely. It’s not having AppleCare Plus. You know what I’m talking about being an Apple user. It’s the best thing ever. Your Pixel breaks; you can forget about walking into a Google store and 20 minutes later walking out with a new replacement. Ain’t gonna happen because there isn’t one in Australia; it’ll all have to be done online. You’ll have to send it off and hope they fix it in a few weeks, and you’ll be without a phone because in Android land, they don’t give you a temporary one. That alone is why I won’t switch. Also, the resell value sucks !! It’s really shit. You’ll get barely half of what you paid for it. That’s if you just bought it. It’s even worse it it’s an old one. Ive had many Android phones in the past but only as a second device. I’m not hating on Google; I actually am getting the Pixel 9 Pro XL in January but still gonna keep my iPhone. I’ve had the 6 and 7Pro. Pixels are great phones.
Refreshing seeing someone just test and share their experience vs other platforms. Without trying something else properly you'll never know. People entrenched in a single brand or ecosystem (cringe) rarely have anything more than perception and narratives about other systems, services or brands. I think there's a huge swath of users caught up in a belief system and want to shout the narrative of that no matter what options are out there that offer more in most areas. I mean it seems the comments already are going there.
Nice vid. I’ve been on iPhone since 2011. Have pixel 6a as back up. I truly believe that iOS 18 n ai, really exposed Apple. Still lacking so much, implementation of iOS 18 features r weak n they r so far behind in ai. They have the nerve to advertise Apple intelligence like it’s something special. I can’t do Apple anymore. Getting S25 next month. Apple is primarily a marketing company, secondarily a hardware company n a far distant software company.
Yeah, I have to agree. Apple used to be the king of delaying new features until they nailed them upon release. I wonder if AI is moving too fast for them to be able to do that and therefore they rushed their AI in a very un-Apple like fashion and dropped the ball?
While others had a big apple fence around them, some hv a huge rigid wall. This dude is one of them. Seems like he was so set in his apple ways that he couldn't even hear anything going on behind those walls, but somewhat miraculously he escaped the matrix. It's a complete madness that a simple electronic device can only communicate with the ones of the same company. Utter Stupidity! It's like different computers brands not communicating with each other like in years gone by. Yip, apple still does it.
You moved from a private platform to spyware central. I know because I’ve done that too and also thought Android was great. However I recently moved back to iPhone because imo iOS has leaped ahead of Android which has been stagnant for years now. Every update brings zero user features. Only Samsung has updates that add user features because of One UI and they try to copy Apple as closely as possible.
I got a 16 pro max this year but I really wanted the 9 pro fold, i’ll probably get the 11 pro fold once the compromises of a foldable are diminished a bit more.

"zero user features"? 👁👄👁 What do you mean? Are you talking about Android? Because Sure we don't get features as much as we used to it previous Android versions, but still we get a ton when compared with Apple man. Btw, there are TON of ways for an Android user to secure their privacy if they want. Just that it's a bit of a hassle when compared with apple.
Samsung doesn't make Android-Google does. Samsung often implements Android features much later, and even the latest Android features aren't available on the S24 yet.
@ Actually many Android features were invented by Samsung and they let google use it. But OneUI has many more features than Pixel. They also have Dex Mode which pixel doesn’t.

😅 You're probably not far off. Time will tell if I switch back haha
Now that Apple implemented RCS you don't need iMessage
And you know that Android has quickshare which is equivalent to airdrop.
super video
try raw it's better than ProRes, plus if you have the final cut or one of them photo correction studios, you set it and forget it and raw carry more details😎😎😎😎😎😎
So good! Don't make me regret not getting the iPhone 16 Pro ;)
I hear you on the privacy concerns; definitely points for Apple there!
This also confused me. I send SMS daily from my Mac.
Bro u were coming from iphone 11 😂
Why the heck would you use chat gpt when you got Gemini
I still rank ChatGPT higher than Gemini :)
Try the video boost on your pixel 9 pro, its a lot better than the iphone 16 video
I've done a little testing with the boost and it's very impressive!
1 month later: 10 years iPhone user switched back to iPhone from Pixel
reason: Apple ecosystem is hard to escape
😂
Kidding aside, true Android has matured now.
😅 I guess we'll see in a months time haha
Great points, thanks for bringing that up!! I also hadn't thought about resale value which is also a great point!
yeah he should have gotten s24 plus (snapdragon edition) its better than pixel and samsung care plus
Thanks, yeah it's definitely opened my eyes to being more open to other options!
if you are that heavy on Apple how are you going to switch?
i doubt he will stay on android for more than a year, once the iphone 17 pro or air come out, he will switch back
That's the experiment! I guess we'll find out :)
I have a pixel and an iPhone. As much as i love Apple, my go to to device is my pixel . iPhones feel awkward to use and aren't as intuitive
I switched too
Nice!
Great 👍
who still sends SMS though..?
I'm glad I've been able to jump over the wall and have a look around 😅
Do you find Google, namely Gemini, forcing their opinions into their answers to your queries.
Ok sure
Please don't call it a Shazam feature.
I think you'd actually like the Samsung Galaxy s 25 ultra more the The Pixel 9 pro, which is coming out soon! Just saying.
I'm very keen to see it and compare. I'm still definitely open to the Galaxy for sure!
You're not going to fool anybody. You'll be right back on your iPhone after the video LOL. Doing it for views
Have you try the add me?
What's that?
I have a 15 pro max and I’m looking to ditch Apple. Bored with it
Good switch, Apple is trash
I switched also.....apple is Bored🎉
Definitely doesn't feel the same as it used to!
❤ e

You moved from a private platform to spyware central. I know because I’ve done that too and also thought Android was great.
However I recently moved back to iPhone because imo iOS has leaped ahead of Android which has been stagnant for years now.
Every update brings zero user features. Only Samsung has updates that add user features because of One UI and they try to copy Apple as closely as possible.
Lol this guy
I got a 16 pro max this year but I really wanted the 9 pro fold, i’ll probably get the 11 pro fold once the compromises of a foldable are diminished a bit more.

"zero user features"? 👁👄👁
What do you mean?
OneUI doesn't look anything like iOS... Look at the Chinese OSes, those are the ones "copying Apple as closely as possible"
Privacy is an outdated concept. You’ve been propagandized. Also, if u think iOS had more features than Android, that’s just not close to the truth. Still waiting for a numbers row on iOS 😂😂😂
