Tata is working on sorting issues. The new nexon update looks good,tech wise and aesthetic wise. The service issues are getting sorted out, and now they need to work on the engines. Also new nexon doesn't come with a NA petrol engine,so may be they are working on something..❤

I have couple of questions for you. ( i might not tune now but considering it strongly once my extended warranty ends). 1. What are the updated power and torque figures? 2. Will the gearbox break ? The altroz diesel 5 speed is said to be at its limit with the 200Nm torque figure. Would love your or code6 or owner's response on this. Thanks a lot
Correct, a dyno pre and post test is very important to conclude the success. Since you own an altroz you would clearly know that eco and city modes have same power but different pedal travel response. So be it city or eco when you floor it, the acceleration is same. So for a better response you can add throttle controller. People say their cars run faster but what it does is, you feed 10% to accelerator it takes 25% of feed. and this is majorly the case with fake tuners. For better performance you can add Motul engine oil of your choice of series for company recommended grade, though I use motul x-cess 5w40 which had proven itself in my vento. Further you can add liqui moly ceratec. Also use Motul injector cleaner. Motul gear oil 75w90. Your car would be better overall & nothing is going to harm other than warranty if you let the agency know. My warranty is over so I plan to use motul from now on and gets all my service done at authorise SC. In the last service I make them happily pour Motul instead of their own engine oil. Yes, it is possible thought no one would believe. My altroz is above 1.3 lakhs on stock clutch plates, have did plenty of adventure a hatchback could possibly do and still shoots the best an diesel altroz can. Also don't switch to different engine oils quite often. Best engine oil is the one we use regularly or for long periods
Altroz diesel uses TA 5260 gearbox which is a slightly upgraded unit from the erstwhile indica diesel. 5 = speed and 260 = 260Nm torque limit. The petrol uses TA 5200 gearbox which has a limit of 200Nm. Nexon uses TA 6300 wherein 6 = 6 speed and 300 = 300 Nm of torque limit. You can check altroz owners manual specification chart for gearbox coding. I think stage one remap is safe in altroz diesel.

I have petrol NA altroz and thinking of getting it tuned by code 6 because they tune car in a specific way that it feels smoother than other tunnerz as seen in other videos... GT tunnerz are available in Delhi but there coding in different than code 6.
Bro the diesel has 200Nm stock. I agree the nexon tune is 260Nm but still the torque to weight of altroz stock is better than altroz and the xuv300 which has 300Nm torque.

In Petrol they currently don't even have Direct Injection for 1.2L. Nano had it somehow. 🫤 3. Thanks to Indian laws, Tata's gem of a 1.4 L motor had to be shelved forever. It was the most powerful motor available in India and could make about 101 hp almost 25 years back. A newer life could have easily made it to 120-130 hp easily. With turbo it could have been even more fire.

The stock diesel lags a lot under 1500 rpm. Its a duck. Take it over the slopes, you have to literally manage them with the clutch and Acceleration
