Wrong damping dude. When I got my virtus damped I fell for the same thing. It is the plastic door trim that vibrates. Vw metal door part is already pretty solid. I would recommend you to damp the back side of the plastic door part fully on the inside, there shall be a massive bass improvement after doing that.
