Let's start this Salomon X Raise review with some details:
Rubber sole
EnergyCell: A high performance EVA foam that provides shock attenuation.
Contagrip MD: Contagrip MD is focused on long-term wear. Using the most durable compound, it has a lug pattern that works equally well on both hard and smooth or soft and loose surfaces.
SensiFit cradles the foot from the midsole to the lacing system, providing a secure, snug, and virtually customized fit all around the foot.
So, if you are looking for the best comfortable hiking shoes... these are a great option! They are indeed very lightweight hiking shoes, the outsole could be a bit better, but they had to compromise a bit on it in order to achieve light weight design.
Even though these Salomon shoes are fresh on the market, they already made it to a few online lists like best hiking shoes for men, best walking shoes for hiking and best hiking shoes 2022. Not too shabby!

@@Art-OCR33 Haha, I'm back! I really like these shoes! I used them for hiking (short hikes, on both dry and wet weather) in Iceland. At first they felt a little stiff but then I got used to them.
They are not waterproof and you can feel the wind blowing through the fabric. I like having "airy" shoes, but for people who don't like feeling cold, you shouldn't wear these shoes in windy/cold weather.
And even if they're not waterproof, if they get wet by accident, they dry up really fast. Aaand I washed them in the washing machine twice, at 30 degrees Celsius. They still look great.
@@rurunim Im really worried about the parts of the sole that are not contagrip(brown). I basically have been to many hikings/trail runs and probably some unnecessarily risky climbs these past 2 years.. And I just wear regular nike running shoes.. Basically, these shoes have a foam sole like the white parts of the salomon patrol and the traction has failed me in the most easy parts. So that was scary and thought about getting an upgrade to a decent hiking/trail shoe. I hear good reviews about this shoe but does that surface of contagrip really make that huge of a difference? Cause i care about having decent traction and not slide off surfaces
@@tom4ever83 I am not the right person to recommend shoes for trail running.
What I can say about the white part of the sole is that if the shoes are worn for a few months they get slippery when you walk on muddy surfaces. 😁
On a side note, I have two close friends who run a lot, on of them does the UTMB run, and they usually use Altra Running Shoes.

Looking at these for work, I spend a long time on my feet, mostly standing outside on concrete. These still good for that?
Ar they at least a bit waterproof?? I mean, does water get inside through that membrane?? Cose it looks kinda thin..
I supose you can use impregnation spray, i would say for light Rain 😂
