Yea me too. I still have the first one saved and this is again so good! I believe this is from a guy’s perspective who says not all men are the same as the first one showed that she was talking about someone who mistreated her so he says it’s your choice to listen to them, just do what you love. This was so good coz just how everyone expects you to be some way and you need to tone your choices down sometimes. Instead of doing what doesn’t make you happy do what makes you take a damn breath, not something which makes you wanna not breath ever again.
The fact that this is just so real for so many females, including myself, is so sad and horrible. I understand that not all men are like this, in fact some of them are the victims of some crimes as well, but it is the majority of men and there needs to be a change.
@@xxsharpiecatxx9684 it's the men that do it, the men that justify it, the ones that make the jokes, the men that stand by and ignore it, in my opinion, it's majority :(

It doesn’t mean that majority of men are criminals that would be stupid.
@@heymydudes3240 I still can’t say most men justify, ignore, or “make the jokes.” Because there is a population of men who do those things, that does not inherently make them the majority. There are definitely places where it may feel like the majority, but on the whole I can’t say it is. (I assume we are speaking of Western countries? If we are talking the whole world, let me know.) The majority ignore, maybe. But lots of people ignore bad things happening to anybody in general (Referring to when things are out in public, which is what I assume you are talking about.) Also, in reference to the jokes. Women make horrible jokes about men and no one talks about it, but when men make jokes it is seen as despicable and a “problem among men.” I don’t like off color jokes from either, but we can’t judge one and not the other.
Your lyrics for both of your versions really reach my heart. I don’t even think I could put into words how I’m feeling. This is exactly how my brother thinks and I can't change his mind. But the thing is he will never experience this kind of prejudice; he is a white cisgender male yet he can't understand the prejudice. He thinks women already have equality. Edit: he is an amazing, kind, caring, clever person and I love him very much. This is pretty much our only difference in opinion. Most of the time he is very empathetic and he is not racist or offensive in the slightest apart from this issue
@Laura Kay I have tried sooo hard to make him see my point of veiw but he refuses to take any of it in and we just end up arguing. I love my brother and I hate arguing with him
@Laura Kay thank you for the advice but I wouldn't be able to if I tried (I'm his younger sister) I could hack his phone but I think that would be an invasion of privacy
Okay before I get blasted here, let me be the dumb man for once. How do women not have equality yet, actually in a lot of situations, women are treated better than men. But im seriously curious, how do women not have equality?
Let me just say, you have an amazing voice! and I can feel the emotion in your ton too. This is beatiful, and your right. There is no equallity in this world rn, and people need to start making a change. It really is sad to think about it. That we all still live in a world where men are ranked first.
If you are said that among the ten cupcakes one has venom, you would still be careful of all the cupcakes right ......... So all the men getting angry saying not all men are like this, chill bro .....we are being careful of you cuz we don't know which cupcake YOU ARE!
The guys telling you to relax are the very guys who think women should sit down and shut up and that they shouldn't have an opinion. The guys who felt they needed to correct you by leaving negative remarks kind of outed themselves as being the douchebags in society that are trying to hold women back. Good for you, young lady.
this is even better than the first one in my opinion. first video was sad and portraited a problem straight forward. this one hides anger, it still displays a greater problem in a kinda sarcastic way, and thus explains why we feel sad and mad in the first place and why we still have to fight for change. loved it, thank you for sharing your art and immense talent with us hannah
Its not a privilege to have basic human rights. All women deserve them Equally, and so you have every right to rant about the men in your country. And so do the Afghan women. All inequality is injustice and we should speak out against them. For ourselves and for others. Its not a privilege for us to be treated equally or feel lucky for having basic human rights if we do than it shows how desperately DEPRIVED we are *globally* of human rights and that makes it all the more fucked up.
Honestly, (some) men saying there is no problem and that women are just overly sensitive is about as accurate and appropriate as if I (straight, white, female) would talk about black, gay, men not having any problems. It is so sad, because instead of acknowledging that there is a problem (even if you aren’t the one actively causing harm) and working towards positive change, most people just feel so fucking attacked by it. I think people are just afraid to admit to themselves that they are doing/have been doing something wrong (even if it’s just something small) so they rather lash out at others and say there isn’t a problem in the first place. Because if there isn’t a problem and it’s ok to do that kind of stuff then they don’t have to feel guilty about it.
@@hithere4236 it’s sort of a hyperbole. But when trying to call out a problem you often have to be a bit more on the nose about things. Like caricatures for example. It is “People” but men are people. There is not a really accurate way you can phrase it (especially in lyrics) so I think “some men” is the closets.
"I'd never steal your voice" "I bet we get the same money" "Just let me speak first" My grandmother and nana both work at very well-known computer companies have had their ideas stolen by white men and told to be quiet and let the men talk. My mother was told she couldn't get anywhere as a lawyer by her boss then she quit and became the boss of her ex-boss and she has fired many racist and un-fare people in her workplace she had her ideas stolen to. It is well known that in our family the men stay at home and take care of the children while the women work. And before you say it's not fair for the men in the family they also have fair-paying jobs but they also take care of the children. My mother worked a 5 am - 8 pm job and while she was making money for us my father took care of me and my brother. Really wanted this kind of a song. If you think everything is wrong and unfair it seems to be the same. See differently this world is a nice place
So underrated I am obsessed with this she's so talented and it's an amazing message❤
omg please add this to your spotify i wanna listen to this on loop on there
This is exactly how my brother thinks and I can't change his mind.
I love my brother and I hate arguing with him
@Laura Kay yeah he's only 15 so still got a lot of time! 😂
@Laura Kay thank you for the advice but I wouldn't be able to if I tried (I'm his younger sister) I could hack his phone but I think that would be an invasion of privacy
@Laura Kay thanks I will!
Okay before I get blasted here, let me be the dumb man for once.
How do women not have equality yet, actually in a lot of situations, women are treated better than men.
But im seriously curious, how do women not have equality?
ok but like the POWER behind your voice, I felt that, you felt that, I think the entire world felt that.
The fact that this song is so relatable shows how messed up this world is
LOVE THIS! So great that you've made this version too, almost hits even more
ur amazing!
I love the aggression that she played n sang w . Just chefs kiss
Let me just say, you have an amazing voice! and I can feel the emotion in your ton too. This is beatiful, and your right.
There is no equallity in this world rn, and people need to start making a change. It really is sad to think about it. That we all still live in a world where men are ranked first.
Omg how your voice changes and you press at some words is perfect with these lyrics. AMAZING!!
First!
Hannah ur literally so talented l love your voice so much💕
U actually looking like a real life Barbie, beautiful and your voice is also amazing, the lyrics are also so nice
Well keep going ❤️
"god its not all men" "im not the problem not my job to solve them" the fact we all understand this is awful
?
incredible, this song made me cry, thank you
"It's still your world"
Yeah *Chad* ,that's why we're trying to fix this.
Also, who tf disliked this video?! Its a masterpiece 👏👏👏
Yeah the girl is a very talented singer
It's all on the lyrics but the way you present it and the power in your voice just-
Perfection💅🏻
True women fighting for equality is not fighting against all men.
your so pretty and great at singing!! also these lyrics are so good and it really makes me think about life .
I love love this song so much
I'm literally in love with this channel. Amazing the lyrics, your voice and everything was superb
Love this so much!!! You are so powerful
Wow that’s real talent and not gonna lie the lyrics hit
I love this artistic, non toxic clap back
And to everyone that thinks there is no problem; go watch promising young women.
You're amazing seriously!!!💗💗 This is the best version of barbie girl I've heard!!❤️
If you are said that among the ten cupcakes one has venom, you would still be careful of all the cupcakes right .........
So all the men getting angry saying not all men are like this, chill bro .....we are being careful of you cuz we don't know which cupcake YOU ARE!
what an incredible voice you have. also the lyrics are insanely good thanks for your work!
The fact that every girl has their own version of this song really explains how patriachy has tormented ALL OF US in different ways.
"I'd never steal your voice, being quiet is a choice" I'm using that from now on whenever people accuse me of something.
I appreciate this, you're talented
Its not a privilege to have basic human rights. All women deserve them Equally, and so you have every right to rant about the men in your country. And so do the Afghan women. All inequality is injustice and we should speak out against them. For ourselves and for others. Its not a privilege for us to be treated equally or feel lucky for having basic human rights if we do than it shows how desperately DEPRIVED we are *globally* of human rights and that makes it all the more fucked up.
You have such a beautiful voice! The lyrics were so true and you are also very beautiful!
this is a masterpiece and I didn’t even finish it yet
You are so pretty and your voice amazing.
You’re lyric writing for these types of covers is always fascinating
Keep up the good work❤️✨👍🏽
Honestly, (some) men saying there is no problem and that women are just overly sensitive is about as accurate and appropriate as if I (straight, white, female) would talk about black, gay, men not having any problems.
Omwwww, this is SO GOOODDD!! You never disappoint. YAAAASSSSSSS
Now I may not like my mother grandmother or father that much bc of issues and stuff but I do have a lot of respect for them.
As long as your father was okay with being the houseman it's fine. But equality isn't a one way street
@@angeloliver7613 My father was the one who raised and took care of me he really didnt mind it and he said it was better if he worked from home since my mother had a higher paying job and he liked it he took us to his studio when he had to go into work and move art sculptures around it was really fun I still remember eating a lemon candy there that tasted like dish soap.
@@dawncassia7479 Oh okay I was about to say the anwser to the issue isn't swaping place but if he was okay with it then that's great and actually pretty wholesome
@@ryle2814 Yeah my father enjoyed taking care of me and my brother.
If a woman can leave her job to care of her kids, then why can’t a man? We need more people like your father
the "wear what ever makes you happy, not that dress below the knees is best " got me because i always felt like what ever i wear is to much or to little i never felt happy
For sure you are gonna be like next Olivia Rodrigo 🥰 love your videos 🥰
Naah she's gonna be the first Hannah grae
Oh my- It's sooo good! Your voice, the lyrics... You are so talented. I hope you get what you deserve!
If you’re a man and you’re offended, she’s talking about you
Honestly you sing so good, like i can feel the lyrics with your voice. Im literally crying your singing is so beautiful
Come on people
Let’s be real
I’m not saying you’re to blame
Come on people
Let’s be real
The choice is yours
To change
La elección esta en cada una de nosotros podemos cambiar el mundo tu voz expresa toda esa rabia acumulada por no poder expresar lo que pensamos en este mundo machista, misógino .Hannah tu voz es la de muchas mujeres
I love the first Barbie Girl video and this one as well. You're a very good song writer!
A moment of silence for those who didn’t get this in their recommended page…
Your voice, the lyrics and your interpretation are amazing 💛💛💛
I love the first one and this one is great too
Is it only me.. Who can see the rage in her voice abt the world.. N its so truee
So I’ve just realized: ` ` I’m not a Barbie girl, I’m living in a men’s world, am I plastic? I’m not fantastic… You don’t brush my hair or choose the stuff I wear is it my imagination? Or this is my nation, I was super young before it was always fun, someone help me, SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME YOU DONT BRUSH MY HAIR OR CHOOSE THE STUFF I WEAR ITS NOT FUN, HAS THIS JUST BEGUN? I’m not a Barbie girl (hold in the L for 2 seconds) I’m stopping this men’s world, boys cry too, why am I not likely to? WE ARE THE SAME, JUST DIFFERENT BODY shapes, Stop this stupid stage, men and women are the same, have you ever heard? Wo-Men? Do they rule the world, or Is this the same thing I need some saving
"do whatever makes you happy, but not that dress, below the knee, is best..." I hate how people say "Be yourself don't let ppl control you" then go and control you.
