I have to second that comment that said Zerg is looking like 300/200 supply. Those late game fights looked supper efficient. Both players looking super strong.
The commentators don't get enough credit, they do an excellent job mixing comedy with informative comments. It isn't so funny that it takes away from the game play, but jokey making the game play more engaging.
BL v Thor is a funny matchup to me in this version of the game. It can so easily go badly for either party. There might technically be a 'counter' there, but its the kind where it seems your strapped behind on a missile forced to ride it. Ultimately I think, it goes down to control, positioning, and what help you give them.
Infestor/Brood. Infestor/Brood. Infestor/Brood. That's it. I do like how sometimes Serral spices it up and gets an Ultralisk or two, but late game Zerg is unbearably boring. It's always the same: move your Broods somewhere they can attack and outrange and any time the enemy gets too close either fungal a group or mind control a large unit. Basically unbeatable and Blizzard can't fix it.
Zerg is not OP, Solar is. %99,99 of the population can't hold vs Maru's insane multitasking while making just enough banes, teching beside, and controlling the map.
I think Terran players literally need to have more skill to win. I mean examine how much apm is need in order to deal banelings and lings in general. Lings are equal in strength(damage) to marines when they're stimmed. (I think correct me if I'm wrong) so basically in order for an equal fight to happen you have to have much more intelligent APM than zerg, who just a-move lings and banes to great effect, freeing up Apm to do other things.
Jesus, Maru should not have lost that fight at 16:50. Why were all his liberators seiged, Solar literally had no ground units except for investors, and there was no detection for them anyways. If those like 10 or so liberators were firing at the heavily clumped broodlords and Corruptors, that fight would have gone very differently.
i think he was trying to prevent those infestors from coming in and neutral everything. There was enough infestors to take half the terran army, or all the thors. Even if it is for 5-6 seconds, thats enough for broodlords to kill absolutely everything.

I sometimes watch Idra's generation's games to see how the skill level of players has improved. They were like diamond or master compared to these supergrandmasters.

Zerg is such a glass cannon race that unless you are programer, you are going to seriously struggle playing it. I just can't keep my army alive for more then few seconds. And the huge resource cost is a such a burden. If enemies death ball my bases one by one, it's over.

All a zerg has to do is counter they don't need to think about a game plan just counter and spread creep and inject their APM use is not deep thinking APM it's just click all over, while Terran has to use finesse to win. Both races have insanely powerful T1 units, both races have units that trade efficiently, both races have powerful late game casters, get over yourself.

I don't remember talking about balance tho so that is out of the argument about my post. Doesn't matter what the Z winrate is, it isn't as big of a difference as you make it, especially when we factor into the far more important rate between two any given players (ie; their winrate vs X, which is why Clem is godly vs Z at the moment, to a degree even Maru isn't). Overall upper league stats are slanted by the players who inhabit them, and if the best players happen to be zerg (I am looking at you Serral), there should at least be a small factor for them in those results, which goes outside of what balance might otherwise dictate. Third: If you think Maru outplayed Solar here, you need your eyes checked. Yes, Maru was going very well with his common, and now tired trope of constant harassment style trying to pin Solar down (which he has beaten him using the same sort of style several times now, so Solar SHOULD know a bit, having lost to it). Solar played a lit game here however, actually managing to counter those splits well, and use his banelings perectly, on the fly, over multiple fronts at once, where they were MANUALLY microed so as to not be blown to bits by mines every which way, which vs what Maru was doing, was insane micro of his own. That took skill I think which is beyond most pro Z players save maybe the top 10 zergs if you ask me, to repeat that to that degree very often. He played a very strong game, and managed to hang on vs Maru. It might have fallen completely apart at several points there, if Solar didn't show a lot of his skill and control. No, in this game, I came out more impressed with Solar than how Maru played, looking at the skill involved to do some of these things.

@@missbelled6700 I'm sorry you can't see it but it's painfully obvious... In games like age of empires there's 15 civ's the top players only use a select 3 or 4. Meaning those four are more advantageous than the others. I mean they only differ a tiny amount but in sc2 the races are totally different much harder to balance
