It is nice to see that Enugu has taken a new look in terms of good urban road Thank God for sincerity of the Governor,Chime. This is good.I feel like going home now
Dear Gov Chime, massive tree planting scheme to give Eungu a green lush tropical feel will help. More open spaces with bench beautified with colourful tropical flowers will add value to Eungu. I will buy into your state as the old regional capital city, my own state governor collects 13% oil money and Imo state has nothing to show for it. Owerri is run down as oil money is shared by 419ers Akwa Ibom is rising like Calabar and Port Harcourt. I hope you can carry on with developing Coal city
@goldenismonica Hi, South Sudan have just voted in a referendum towards the nation. It is in world news yesterday and today too. The North of Sudan under Islamic Bashir has promised to respect result of the votes. The voting has to do with knowing those that wants independence or continuation with Sudan. They are dancing and singing for their victory. It is amazing how things change these days.We need Anioma state and more. There should be Nsukka state adn Njaba state.God will help us out am sure.
@goldenismonica Thanks for that encouraging comment. I am from Enugu and know that those towns Calabar and PH where under Enugu.I have not been to Nigeria for long.I wish to go home one of these days.I hope to see ENUGU COME OUT SOON AS THE CAPITAL OF THE NEW NATION BIAFRA JUST LIKE SOUTH SUDAN. It will HAPPEN IN OUR LIFE TIME by God grace.
I wish we can go back to the old east central state, honestly, it is the same thing compared to what we have today because equal states have been created both in the west and northern regions, we had more Unity, freedom, and you could live and get a job where ever you wish, today we are more divided and worst, we are more corrupt
Showing me this video make me feel like coming back home tomorrow. I miss Coal City... I miss my friends. Nice background music too. I wish i can have that CD here. lol
Thanks a bunch to whoever posted this video. Having left my beloved coal city since 2005, it made me jingle like a kid and flooded me with unforgettable memories! Thanks again!
I wish every one of us could appreciate having gardens and growing grasses more in our compounds and side ways respectively to cover that red dust cos it makes houses and roads look old..... OPERATION COVER RED DUST ABEG.
you're right... only a month outside Nigeria will convince our brothers and sisters in Nigeria. There is really no place like home. After my Education I should have me back home. The Abacha, Oha, Ugbaka, Ogene music, Okpa, Nkwobi, and many more will feel me in grand style. Truly there is beauty in the African system.
@Standardfrank The term "Biafar" was a subgroup of the Tende ethnic group in West Africa & the word eventually found its way into Portuguese lexicon in the 16th century. In their maps, the original word used by the European travellers was not Biafra but Biafara, Biafar & even Biafares. I've seen other etymological explanations. Yes, I am very aware of the difference between country & nation. If you think our movement is about a word, then you are stunningly oblivious to what we are fighting for.
@Standardfrank Biafra is the name that we have adopted for our future country. The primary language of Biafrans is Igbo. Biafra is owned by its habitants, which is the same in every other country in the world. I don't know if you are Nigerian, but by your ranting it is clear that you know little of the situation. Biafra's purpose was to establish a country that made more sense than the Nigerian cesspool that we must all endure presently.
@goldenismonica All opression against Igbos MUST STOP.The days of those EVIL are gone and the enemies have but a choice and option. This is not Ojukwus generation at all. We WILL NOT TAKE IT!
@goldenismonica Enugu is much more bigger and more beautiful than Calabar and PH. Note Enugu had been provincial capital of Eastern Nigeria, capital of East Central states,Anambra state and now capital of Enugu state. Calabar and PH were all under Enugu.Calabar is small However PH may have more companies due to the oil facilities but Enugu certainly has more people, better houses estates etc and infrastructure eg Enugu railways facilities is 5x size of PH railway.Enugu is home to all easterners.
Please my dear brethren, kindly do justice to the cities of Onitsha, Aba, Nnewi, Owerri . We would like to view the beauty of these cities too. I love the coal city of enugu. Kudos to you guys who did this good job.
It looks nice but what is the economy and safety like there. Well it lloks like Gov. Chime, Fashola of Lagos and Oduaghan of Delta are at least beautifying their streets. But whilst we praise them, they need to do more in terms of education, safety and helping the masses with jobs or loans. Ndi Enugu kwenu!!!
I see this from an ibo POINT OF VIEW the Gov is doing well with the little resources he has at his disposal. I am of the opinion that all the southeast governors should allocate land and build a regional Ibo city to rival other regions. This city can be governed by an elected mayor. This city should have high street shops with broad pavements where all the Aba made product can be sold. It should have residential and administrative districts. A planned city unlike Aba and Onisha which is a mess
@Standardfrank Firstly, I want to ensure that those who perished in the war did not die in vain. What better way to honor their memory than peaceful agitation for freedom. Secondly, no one is interested in naming you. Mate, Igbo does not equal Biafran and vice versa. There were some Igbo people on the Nigerian side. In my opinion, you should get to choose what country you belong in. I suspect, there would still be a considerable Igbo population in Nigeria after independence.
@Standardfrank Oh please...What Igbo person did not lose family members in the war?! A country is a self-governing political entity while a nation is a tightly-knit group of people which share a common culture. What is your point?...Like I told you before, the term "Biafra" is likely of African origin. I could care less what we name our new country. The sustenance of the Igbo nation is my primary concern.
Vote for Uwakwe Ezeja for chairmanship and vote for Aminu Ogbonna for councillorship position in lgbo-eze North L. G. & Essodo Ward 3 in forthcoming local government elections in Enugu state coming up November 4th 2017. Vote PDP. Enugu is the hand of God
@Standardfrank Fuck states? The reality is that they are essential, otherwise there would be no law to govern the masses. The problem with an idea such as the United States of Africa means that it would be an endless and bloody power struggle to rule over such vastly different people. Freedom requires that people coalesce and determine how to rule themselves. That is what Biafra is all about. Hatred is not the motivating force; the struggle for self-preservation and the love of freedom are.
Typical of Africa. The city is nicknamed Coal City because there is so much coal under the ground but for no good reason the coal mines are shut down. There is also Iron ore these resources could be used to produce steel and local manufactures could pop up in the area to use the local steel instead of expensive imported steel. All of this would result in thousands of jobs that pay many times higher than the living people are making there now. Africa's motto should be "Wasted Potential".
It is nice to see that Enugu has taken a new look in terms of good urban road
Thank God for sincerity of the Governor,Chime. This is good.I feel like going home now
good job, am from Imo and it feels good to see a Governor from our region emulating the feat of his colleague in other states.
This is good. Enugu looks good. I was born and brought up at Enugu, Asata boy!
wow!!! that's some nice progress in Enugu state ...

I love this. I love my country.
Those short palm trees should be used to beautify the median of the roads. That would complete the urban renewal
