Hi Andrea, thanks for the helpful review, I also bought this C2 model from lidl, but I noticed two negative things:
    1. two out of two open products had a large chipped grinding wheel, one on both sides, the other on only one ... I remedied the second choice by grinding the edge a little with a special stone.
    2. the motor is actually a 190W in continuous service and unfortunately left on for 30 minutes without grinding anything the motor warms up enough to assume it is a bad quality motor, which I did not think happened with the previous versions.
I fear that the manufacturers appointed by Parkside will update versions over time by deliberately choosing to save on materials and clearly this has an impact on the duration. Another thing: the large wheel shaft rotates (albeit slowly) directly in the black plastic of the gearbox without any bush, now I think this is too much even for a cheap product. What do you think about it? thank you

I can verify that the wet wheel is off-balance and vibrating. I had the same problem with a brand new one. It seems the axel or the gear box are made really cheap or had a very bad quality control.

I bought this week this machine and the wet wheel was out of balance. Send it back and received TWO new machines! on one of them the wet wheel was not fixed on the axel and moving around in the plastic water box. The other machines shows a unbalanced dry grinder wheel. So received in total 3 bad machines. I managed to fix the one with the wet wheel that was loosen, by entering the gear box and put in place the clamp spring. I sharpened 3 knives and after that the motor was bloody hot, too hot to lay down your hand on it and the machine was smelling.

You cannot switch off one while other stone is turning?
Can this be used for carbon knives to sharpen?
