Yeah, when I first heard it was getting unrelenting as it's catalyst, I was mortified as it was already pretty much everywhere when it came out. But after using some other archetypes of bow, it makes sense why players put this down. The lightning fast draw time TTK potential on some of the legendary versions is no joke
Lemon is definitely the training wheels bow, i got my first ever flawless with it, and i made a friend who was glued to me with an explosive payload true proph, all it took was one shot from me and one from him for a kill I loved using bows for a while, then i ran into some maniac with 14k crucible kills on ticuus who dropped 40+ kill games consistently Demoralised me so badky i havent used bows for longer than a match since
Here's something, Foetracer & Gyrfalcon can roll on the class item. I'm thinking la mark with volatile rounds. If the poison can proc the pop, if not magnetic nade for clean up that grants you a 4x damage boost for void weapons.
Ive been using monarch for a while, and for me what works best is on hunter with oathkeepers. OK allows you to hold the bow indefinitely, and allows monarch to keep its poison arrow the whole time its drawn which is really good for holding down a lane. Also, very very strong with a special gl with prox nades since a lot of people hop into cover after getting hit with the bow, plus its funny quickswapping after a monarch shot and using the gl as a shotty
My go-to bow build is the OG Ophidian Aspect on Solar Warlock paired with a sidearm. I typically use Adept Pre Astyanax with Archer's Tempo Successful Warm-up and Traveler's Chosen, but you can use whatever you want really.
@Jotaro_Kujo03 thats good, sidearm wise i like that hakke world drop one with moving target + gutshot, v underrated. But with how strong a gl and bow are together, if im not running monarch then i usually do whatever kinetic slot bow with fighting lion
@@Jotaro_Kujo03 ignition code is a good pick, tbh any gl works as long as it has either spike or prox with ALH, i dont really care that much about anything else since the gl is more for utility and clean up kills rather than using it to deliberately getting kills. My playstyle with monarch and gl is sit back, play aggro when needed, and if you tag someone and they go to cover or start rushing you use the gl, otherwise i never swap to the gl
le monarch is def the best bow for like, holding down a lane and making people miserable. but i've never really jived with it despite being my clan's resident bow enjoyer. i usually run a legendary bow/exotic sidearm swap build and play in the mid-ranges. you can still lane people out with the bow, but the sidearms enable some fun aggressive plays (especially rat king, traveler's chosen, and trespasser. their kill perks are much easier to proc when your other weapon is a primary ammo sniper)
I've been buildcrafting in pvp on my hunter Chill clip glaive with mask of backris for instant freezes. Dodging gives me stasis/Arc surge so running the heavy burst trials HC for 2 taps its so fun.
I also just thought up something yesterday that I'll try to get a video on here in the next couple of days using the glaive. It's nowhere near as good as chill clip glaive but it's close
I’ve been saying bows are awful in this meta and are actually hard to use and this is also compared to hand cannons and I might have commented this on your video before but I generally mean non exotic ones (light weight non exotic bows are the main hard to use ones) most of my knowledge does come from console tho but the statistics rn throughout the game shows they are rare and not great currently, there are people out there like hynra but he’s been using almost only bows for possibly years so it makes sense that he’s amazing with them
I do also want to point out le monarch is one of the only bows to one body one head high tier resils where as precision bows only do t5 and below then lightweights can’t even 1 head 1 body
@ Ik but he’s using le monarch, that and wish ender do insane damage and have insane aim assist that they would fairly need to be nerfed, I want to use le monarch but it feels like I would be using a stronger erianas (fun fact they nerfed erianas in PvP and it’s pissing me off)
If you end up using light weight bows I recommend tyranny of heaven and I can give you a full crafted set to put on it if you want, also I recommend you run one or more loader mods on your arms as they will nearly always speed up your ttk on a bow and more then one sometimes helps too although that’s mostly on precision frames when you use more than one (ophidians with a loader mod can be amazing and obviously on hunter you can use oath keepers)
They're not good any more 😭. I'll never forgive Bungle till they undo the changes to it's accuracy cone. I'm glad I got my point of the stag to 11,111 crucible kills before it got gimped
i think playing a stationary playstyle with a warlock rift is the worst way to learn bows ironically the most fun way to play bows is to use them suboptimally, as in, using them as a duelling weapon. thats what people mean when they say theyre doing bad in this meta, because pulses, and even handcannons are just better than bows overall. Le monarque wont teach you to use bows since its high damage and AOE will tempt you to use it as cowardly as possible :( Because of that, people (not you, but in general) will be tempted to clean up with another primary, so are you really using a bow at that point or could you just use anything else apart from Le Monarque... Although, good video and good luck 👍
While I can agree that playing it very stationary wasn't the best play, it certainly made for some interesting bits of knowledge concerning Monarque and its synergies with Sanguine. Now I do (kind of) agree with your statements on how bows as a dueling weapon aren't the pinnacle of performance. But that seems to be intentional to prevent a stale meta from forming around bows. Now, what I don't exactly agree on is the use case for bows; they're an extremely powerful and borderline broken teamplay weapon as they deal massive headshot damage with great accuracy from both hipfire and ADS. Pair that with almost any hand cannon or Graviton Lance for a near instant kill from a double peak. Is it the most fun way to play the weapon type? Perhaps not, but it's certainly the most effective.
Le Monarch is definitelly one of those ones that makes me dread the day if they ever add Unrelenting to another bow, the perk is underrated as hell
doesn’t the void craftable from season of the risen have unrelenting?
@@KarmaKai Yes lmao
@ 😂 i wanna say hush and a few others can drop with it. whispering slab does.

can't say I'm a fan of bows in pvp, but god I love the headshot kill sound

This right here sounds stupid nasty. I'll try to get my hands on one of these whenever xur sells it

@LeviYorke yeah I've been looking into pairing my bow with a grenade launcher lately. Maybe Ignition Code is a decent pick?

I like to use peacebond as a backup with le monarch and a good acosmic roll for heavy on my oathkeeper hunter. Gets things done.
I can’t unhear you calling the bow “Lemon arc”
Haha, that was partially intentional on my end tbh
Ah yes, my hunter is a bow main with oathkeeper.
I can begin to understand why now
I can’t believe le monarque was the bay harbor butcher
I couldn't believe it either

Welcome to the club brother. I loved it! we've got to run together sometimes!😄
You can generally find me in the discord if you want to run some games

use it with prismatic, void aspect and youll go invis every kill. on void the invis is way longer

Honoured when are you going on your agro stasis titan bow main arc???
Maybe I'll do that to send off the bow videos
I hate Le Monarque.
I remember the era of this running pvp with no end in sight
Would you ever consider using the Warmind bow? I feel like you could stay alive long enough to use its perk.
Another situation where I wish I had it. But I might try it whenever I do have it
