I watched this originally when you did your live review, and after watching others who have also reviewed this fragrance, I've decided that yours is the best and most comprehensive review, so I'm watching it one more time before I buy the 100 ml bottle. Had a sample and I'm in love but it's quite pricy! 😮
Hello Dariush watching the recordings from Guernsey yet again ! Going to pause, I will see this one and the Serge Lutens one later I am not used to hiking in the island so I have to catch some sleep 😅). I have not found a perfumery on here but I noticed the prices at Boots are cheaper, maybe due to the absence of taxes. I might indulge in a Pour Monsieur or a Coco, inspired as I was after seeing your Comète review. Best wishes !
I had the exact same impressions of this as you do, but now I'm intrigued to test on skin, as I had only over-sprayed on a card. Will see if my thoughts about it changes, but I kind of doubt it.
I’m very curious about this one. Thinking of getting a tester. As fashion goes, to me it’s their winter scarves that are the stand out fashion item. Bought one years ago and it’s the most cosiest item! Plus it still looks as good as it did when first bought in Liberty. So I suppose I am associating it with that cosy connection I get wearing the scarf so want to try with the perfume!! As the scarf itself smells amazing. It still has this natural smell after three years of being used so I’m wondering if someone has thought of the smell of the scarf and a “clean” smell of the perfume (worth a sniff of it when you are in Liberty!)
You're very kind, thank you. I don't know the specific reason, but I do know that the perfumer's name did not appear on the two previous 'collaboration' scents. Maybe Malle thought three names would be one too many.
Perhaps we should forgive FM this one! On a separate note, and since I am so happy to see you do a combo of old and new, can I put in a request to so some 80s niche French stuff like the Boucheron lineup? I love the original, and in a synthetic world I am not gravitating toward many new scents, they just released Boucheron Fleurs that's just delicious, not gourmand!!!! Thanks again.
I hated this then hours later really enjoyed it, once the peachy and sandalwood appears. but it takes ages for it to stop smelling like you have poured a box of Daz all over you. This is like Gen Z's No.5
Your description of it does seem to evoke the hip Scandi-chic style which ACNE is the head of; oversized minimalism and quite “harsh”. In that sense, a more liniar scent works. I wouldn’t be surpriced to see this featured in all the Scandi style blogger social media or fashion magasines, so it will probably do okay even if it’s only here in Scandinavia. Question then is, if there’s enough to buy it because of the prize? Or whether it will be discontinued
I think Acne Studio make some of the best jeans on the market imo. But their aesthetic as a whole isn't really my thing, so I'm not sure how I'd feel about this collab. It's pretty divisive so far which is interesting to say the least.
Yes indeed a very nice fabric softener scent. I would gladly pay 6 euros for a jerrycan of a fabric softener with that scent or an even a can of air freshener of this. However, I have difficulty understanding why anyone would want to wear this as a perfume. I didn’t even find it that aldehydic. I probably associate my perfume aldehydes with a specific type of aldehydes a la no 22 / no 5 / Liu / Rive Gauche / Diva / Eau du Soir, etc. Even Zara’s Livre Blanc is miles better in being “perfumey” than this I would think. Fair enough if some people want to pay 💰 for this stuff and wear it. The brand will be gladly cashing in and rubbing their hands with glee selling it for much more than the ingredients probably could ever justify.
I rather enjoy this one, annoyingly. Even the milky pink bottle is quite charming. I found the dry down satisfying too, even if a bit spare. I would take it over nearly any of the musky Le Labo, with which it seems in direct competition.
@@Persolaisewould make sense since Byredo is Swedish and also quite the Scandi-chic musthave if you’re into that aesthetic (say I being Scandinavian but not Scandi-chic 😅😂)
Phew, I’m glad I’m not interested in it. I am always curious about what FM is doing, & like the aesthetic of this brand - but CANNOT get past its name. It’s been years & it still disgusts me. I know… the name was an acronym & Johansson wanted to be edgy, I’d assume, but I have to read it in English…so, here we are. If they ever change their logo to an artistic emblem rather than the all-caps name with the trendy block font, or add periods so my brain can see “A” then “C” then “N” then “E”, or just spell out the words from the acronym, maybe that would help. But who cares what I think?!? 😂 They’re doing fine, minus my purchases. Nothing against those who like & wear the brand! I got close to buying a handbag with a plan to always hide the name, by wearing it backwards or covering it awkwardly with a scarf. That would be too torturous for its premium pricing - but I can understand being a fan of the designs & perfumes. ✌️

That's so kind, thank you. I felt there was a lot that needed to be said about this one. I agree that it's expensive.
I am in Amsterdam and sprayed Acne on my hand. I am entranced and shocked by my reaction. It's beautiful.
It’s certainly very polarizing.
Was dying to hear about this! Appreciate your honesty and keen descriptions as always.
Thanks very much indeed.
Just collected my Iris Poudre! Must be that Persolaise magic you’ve sprinkled few weeks back! :)
I hope you love it.

Take your time with the videos. And I hope you’re able to make a purchase soon.

Well, if you do try it on skin, please let me know.

Now I need to get to Liberty!
Thanks for watching.
I tried it and loved the aldehyde/peach combo. With this and Dior’s new New Look it would appear that aldehydes are having a bit of a “comeback”?
Who knows. It might happen.
Many thanks for watching.
Have been buying their clothes for years. Now I have to try the perfume 😅
Ah, this is genuinely interesting to know. Do tell me what you think of it.
Your honesty is refreshing and is truly appreciated

I generally love detergent scents. This sounds bit overwhelming but definitely going to try it out as soon as I can anyway. 😁
Oh, please let me know what you make of it.

Oooh, I’ll see what I can do. I don’t have the original Boucheron, I’m afraid.

Yes, the ‘detergent’ aspect is so strong in this one, isn’t it.

Yes, it’ll be interesting to see how it fares.
Thanks for watching.

Yes, divisive is usually a thumbs up in my book, at least as far as perfume is concerned.

Sorry, I keep thinking of things to add. It could have been a Comme des Garcons. But I just adore aldehydes. Did you like their Stephen Jones?
Hmmm… I wonder if I see it more as competition for Byredo than Le Labo.
I’ll have to wear it a few more times before making a final decision.

Intel from within EDP Frédéric Malle says the latest Frédéric Malle iteration of a Malle's perfume is to be released in September
As soon as that?
Thanks for watching.
@@Persolaise My understanding is that the real last project would have been Acne Studios and the September release was postponed.
i ordered a bottle from Selfridges - i may be a gluten for punishment. desperately wanting a bottle of the Dries Van Noten collab.
I’d love to see a return of the DvN.
I hope Estée Lauder does not destroy the brand😢
Let’s see what happens.
From collabing with Elbaz and noten to acne - sums up the brands direction, tried this on Friday , left with monsieur ❤
Now, that's interesting -- I find Monsieur quite hard to take too.
🥰❤️

Yes… it’s not the most appealing of names…
