Digging Deeper - got one myself from a very elderly friend many years ago and he was around when the model T's were. That's what he told me it was. Good find, my friend!
FYI, someone at Rolex DID NOT give you correct information. Every REAL Rolex has a serial number that can be tracked to the store that had it in stock, who and when it was sold and to who they sold it to. It's as easy as if you bought a cell phone from Verizon, AT&T or another major carrier. So if you truly want to get that back to the owner I would contact Rolex again and speak to VP of sales. But seeing as you have it now I guess you don't HAVE TO do that. But someone is missing a very expensive watch. If they were smart they would have had insurance on it. Of course you can do what you want like I said but I'm just telling you the person that you spoke to at Rolex the first time was incorrect!!
Hi Mark They did say they could see were it was sold at the time, but that store had closed down or was not a rolex dealer anymore. for some years ago. and at the time was not reported missing or stolen at the time. ,,,that's why i had to wait almost two month before doing anything. so i think your right... I was sure when i got the information on the watch that it would be a matter of time before i had to hand it over again,,,but unbelievable nothing happened thanks for the info...
thanks buddy, i have to admit i still cant believe i found it just 2 inch under the sand... decided to keep for the kids when they grow up and need a car and driving licence and so on..
