Thank you very much for sharing. I think by putting a limitation on post retirement avenues for a judge we shall be impinging on their individual freedom of choice as also deprive the organisation/institution (in which they seek to contribute) of the rich knowledge and experience of a learned judge. Also, i think the remedy available in terms of appeal and the immense public scrutiny what judgements of the courts especially the higher courts enjoy any decision so made in return of something can be identified and subsequently done away with it. I believe what is most required as of now is reforming judicial appointments which as rightly pointed out by the then leader of opposition, needs to attract the best talent.

For your(Rajya Sabha's) consideration-- abolish two membership to decendants of Fitzroys/Viceroys because they claim to have no state of their own--it's illogical, therefore illegal.They may contest for membership like any other voter.
