I've commented several times about many of your videos, and about how happy I am that you linked us up with Jared King. I also play his playlists all night while I sleep. It's all about the voice and the story telling that makes y'all my go-to videos to spend my time with daily and nightly. I have a suggestion for you Donnie, and this idea sprang from today's video. When the raccoons came down the tree, you said they sleep in the trees. You've said that before, and that brought a question- WHY? Why do they sleep in trees? Of course, I could go to the internet and find the answer, but I'd rather hear it from you! So, my suggestion is to provide more information about the animals we are seeing in your videos. Such as, why do raccoons sleep in trees? It would make everything more interesting to the viewer. I'm suggesting this because in your last Channel Talk, you said you were losing viewers, and as a loyal viewer, I had an idea to capture more attention. My husband and I love your channel, and in the morning, I usually have one of your videos playing for my husband as he is getting ready to go to work in the city. We live out in the country, and we hunt, fish and grow a garden and appreciate this lifestyle. I love learning the old ways and trying to incorporate them into my life. As a side note, My husband and I were raised completely differently, but have been together for 40 years! We love you Donnie, we know you pray for us and we pray for you too!

I went out to check my cucumbers and fig trees in rural Louisiana a few days ago and there was a bunny resting on its belly in the yard about 15 feet to my left and another about 17 feet to the right eating grass. I got some no waste bird food and now when I call the birds to come eat early each morning a woodpecker always answers and shows up. I think he likes the peanuts and corn in the mix. I`m seeing figs on my 1st and 2nd year Brown Turkey trees. I`ve only had Celeste figs before so I can`t wait to try this larger variety but I have 4 new Celeste growing too. I`ve planted a lot of fruit trees this year and got a covering for the trees so I can eat some but eventually there will be plenty for the birds too because I got four dwarf mulberry trees among the figs. The birds seem to know what the trees are and keep checking them for fruits. Ha!
Thanks Mr.Donnie!!! God Bless all who come here to see the critters 💜 I have been having a problem with a young raccoon 🦝…trying to break into my chicken coops. Especially the one with 23 new ones (hatched 4-21-24). I keep a couple of live traps here for these little visitors. My dogs alerted,I went out and saw him in the yard where the dogs are not…. I set a live trap with a tin of sardines. Caught him. When I went to see what it was…. He became Godzilla… hahaha. He intended to scare me. I had a couple of errands to do before I could take him off. Sooo,I put a nice heavy bath towel over him to keep the sun off. He totally disintegrated that towel into 1/2 wide strips. I gave him some grapes and cut up a couple of apples for his new location. Stupid me…. I was not thinking straight. I only took him about 4-5 miles away…. That was about 11:00AM… by 11PM he was back,in my driveway,under the vehicle I took him off in. I figure he was looking for more grapes and apples. We are having a bad heat spell,so until this breaks,he is free to roam…. Look out when it cools down…..lol.

I went out to check my cucumbers and fig trees in rural Louisiana a few days ago and there was a bunny resting on its belly in the yard about 15 feet to my left and another about 17 feet to the right eating grass. I got some no waste bird food and now when I call the birds to come eat early each morning a woodpecker always answers and shows up. I think he likes the peanuts and corn in the mix. I`m seeing figs on my 1st and 2nd year Brown Turkey trees. I`ve only had Celeste figs before so I can`t wait to try this larger variety but I have 4 new Celeste growing too.
I`ve planted a lot of fruit trees this year and got a covering for the trees so I can eat some but eventually there will be plenty for the birds too because I got four dwarf mulberry trees among the figs. The birds seem to know what the trees are and keep checking them for fruits. Ha!

I have been having a problem with a young raccoon 🦝…trying to break into my chicken coops. Especially the one with 23 new ones (hatched 4-21-24). I keep a couple of live traps here for these little visitors.
My dogs alerted,I went out and saw him in the yard where the dogs are not….
I set a live trap with a tin of sardines. Caught him. When I went to see what it was…. He became Godzilla… hahaha. He intended to scare me. I had a couple of errands to do before I could take him off. Sooo,I put a nice heavy bath towel over him to keep the sun off.
He totally disintegrated that towel into 1/2 wide strips.
I gave him some grapes and cut up a couple of apples for his new location.
Stupid me…. I was not thinking straight. I only took him about 4-5 miles away….
That was about 11:00AM… by 11PM he was back,in my driveway,under the vehicle I took him off in. I figure he was looking for more grapes and apples.
We are having a bad heat spell,so until this breaks,he is free to roam…. Look out when it cools down…..lol.
