I loves these Q&A's. Keep em' coming.
Bob R thanks. Few more coming soon.
all hail the Floating Heads and their wisdom! thx man. good stuff
cheers!
Great video Zach. Thank you. What are you filming with.
jacek szulecki Sony a6300 before it broke. Then just an iPhone.
How did you handle recharging on trail with all that filming? Loved following your journey
I had an anker 26800 battery pack. I'd charge it in town. Could probably go with a smaller one... never ran out of charges on trail when it was 100%.
oh big one! i have the 10000 only and hoping it will do. i'm lazy and won't vlog much but i like taking too many pictures. You think phone + camera is worth the extra weight/money or just phone is doable?
That should be fine. And if it's not, you can always order something bigger online and send it somewhere on trail. I think the newer phones have great cameras. My daily videos were shot entirely on my iPhone. If I do another hike I'll just take the phone. It's less about weight for me. More so ease of use. It was a pain taking the camera out... and I rarely used my mini tripod.
doing the pct in oregon is much different on the gear you need.
when is the next hike?
Back to work for now, so another long hike is unlikely this summer. Will definitely get out in the Northeast for some shorter hikes soon though.
does anyone know what company makes the red hoodie that dainty is wearing?

thanks Zach..that'll complete my list for the PCT. congrats on your thru-hike man, what an accomplishment. I thru- hiked the AT this year and cant wait to hit the PCT in 2018.
congrats to you too... good luck!
Love the guy pooping behind the tree in the beginning....hahahaha. Seriously getting a smaller pack has ZERO to do with what you carry on the trail. I use a ULA cat and it is exactly the right size for a bear can and my "stuff". I carry the B-Can all the time since it doubles as a chair during meals and is ALWAYS 100meter away from my tent.(PSA) HYOH dude.
Rocco met some others that carried the can nonstop. Not for me if I don't need it. Was nice having the chair though!
