Yeah, I think last year she was experimenting with prerecorded dialogue. This is clearly live so I guess she's got a pitch-shifter wired up to the sound system. Interestingly, the high frequency ringing effects on her voice were there on the night, it's not the audio compression (though it does sound as if it was).
It sounds like a digital pitch shifter. I'm not sure how the high-frequency ringing effect is produced, though. You could do this with a Raspberry Pi Zero, an Arduino chip or heck, you could probably even use the mainboard from a Behringer FX600 pedal. Those are nice and cheap.
That's something that will get you quite different answers depending on who you ask, and I can't speak for Bass or its owner, but I can say that fursuiting is far more fun to do than you'd sensibly expect. Being admired, photographed and fussed over is probably a big factor. For me, I wanted to try cosplaying as one of the characters in my comic and it kind of took off from there.
I want a robotic fursona but i dont know how to make it more robotic without adding features like bass's. There should be a simpler version of that animal.
It sounds like a digital pitch shifter shifting downwards with the original voice mixed in about 50/50 wet and dry. I'm not sure what the high frequency ringing effect is. How she's actually implemented it, I have no idea. It could be an Arduino chip, a Raspberry Pi, software running on a phone, or even the mainboard from a guitar pedal.
The fact that bass had their handlers/friends dress as scientists specifically for BotB's company is amazing
I did not notice that there were four ears. Now that I know that. It makes the suit more unique.
Also one last thing is that I LLLLOOOOOOOOVVVE the new touches and tweaks.
I just realized, the abbreviation for "Beauty of the Bass" BotB.
'Bot'B. It has the word "bot" in it.
Remove the "T" and it's BoB.
Oh I saw it
VOICE CHANGER??? Wow, Bass got even better.
I LOOVE the new suit so much
same here buddy
OMG IT LOOKS EVEN MORE COOLER
she has a beautiful voice
Oooooohhhh what a BEEEAAAAUUTIFUULL monster you have there. Oh? SHE CAN TALK NOW!?!!

BrenBone
YES!!!!
The voice omg sounds so demonic
She's like a SCP now.
MASKED Anarchist and she has already breached her containment
More like a genetically engineered animatronic
Love the video beauty of the bass she has the best suit
It's not just the suit, the performance is great too. She can make you forget that you're technically just watching a person wearing a rug.
I would like to meet her one day but that'll never happen
OMG SHES"S TALKING!!!!!!
Probably see this in the night in probably run out the con.... (XD)
The male worker looks a LOT like Jervis Tetch from Gotham
AAAAAA YOU FINALLY GOT THE VOICE CHANGER IN IT!!! :D
nice halloween costume lol i luv the new suit!
I LOVE YOU!!
Me and a few friends created a t pose army in the hallls at school
Patchy The Coyote no t posing in the halls. 60 seconds detention for you. When will you learn?
Austin Hebert actually nobody had a problem
Patchy The Coyote I was just pretending to be the principal of the thing from Baldi’s basics
......why?
Hoowwww did you do the thing with the voice omg

she/he makes all all dem other furries in the background look wimpy >:D
Thats soo cool
They figured out the voice changer!
bass acts like a child XD
I always found furries interesting. Where is the pleasure in wearing a (from what I gathered) horribly hot suit?

That is awsome

The voice changer
???!!!
I want to know how she did the voice thing
