Fancy finding four cream pots!!!! That has to be a record. Lots of other interesting things too. I love the way you fill in the holes you dig, very sensible. I have never seen such an ornate foot warmer stopper either.
Love the hand painted pot lid and the glass flower. Chillies are a great anti-inflammatory for arthritis, etc, chilli hot chocolate in the depths of Winter is marvelous.
Hi Jayne - Sarah also loves that pot lid. She wants to repurpose it she says. And yeah - chilli is fantastic as an anti-inflammatory indeed. We're going to try a chilli chocolate this winter - sound yum! Willie :)
Thanks Hazel! Always glad that my silly dances raise a smile. They're designed for fun and not skill - that much is for sure! I hope that some day you get a chance to buy one. We're selling a lot at the moment - even from my own collection, as we need to make room for all the new bottles I'm pulling up every week - we don't have the room in the house! Cheers - Willie :)
Thanks - always love to read your comments! I really can't see me pulling 4 printed stonewares out the ground again any time soon - that's a silly amount! Loved finding them! We're currently in a B&B on the Isle of Skye, listening to crazy rain on the window. More adventures coming really soon! Willie :)
Thanks Sadie - a really good suggestion. I may have to start holding onto bottles like this from now on. Glad you enjoyed watching and it's a pleasure to share. Willie :)
Thanks Iain that's really nice of you to say. It's fantastic that folk like watching, but when you're looking forward to the videos in advance, that's a real compliment - and is much appreciated. Willie :)
Brilliant video Willie I loved your coo-full o cream pots lol but by the time you had dug them up you were run Dunraggit lol 😆 xxx ❤️ to you, Sarah & Jack dog xx
Thanks Dawn - glad you're enjoying watching the videos. Always nice to repair these things. Amazing to think they were discarded in a similar way as we would now with a soft drinks can! I have plans for that stopper - and the others too! Willie :)
Good idea to cut your losses at the first hole, full of iron bed bits🥵. Four cream pots in the second hole was amazing👏😮! I like the Schweppes bottle, too.
Absolutely - realised I was better off starting over again. Turned out to be the right decision. But then again… maybe I would’ve found 4 ginger beers if I’d stayed in the first hole! Ha! That’s bottle digging for you - you just never know! Schweppes are always lovely bottles. We just sold another one similar this evening. Popular bottles for sure. Willie 🙂
Oh really? Thanks David - I had no idea. If I find another one, I'll bust out some moves! Glad you enjoyed the dig. I'm off to research Kralik now! Willie :)
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: Hello from Michigan, U.S.A. I'm hooked on your channel ...living vicariously through your videos! I've done a fair amount of hunting abandoned old trash dumps around bye gone era settlements in my younger years...good times! Now I hunt in a new way with a new partner...you! Of note: I can't dance as beautifully as you! Lol!!
You never know which hole will have the belters in them, or what the next scrape will bring up. Of course, that's what makes it so exciting for us all!
Another great video Willie I couldn't believe that you got the first dunragit then the second, third then fourth was amazing. I wish that Sarah would join you again for one of your digs I love watching yall working together. I can't wait until next week your videos are better week after week.
Thanks Deborah - glad you could make it along! Glad also that you enjoyed the video. You know what, I'll let you into a little secret... you're literally the first person I've told on here... Sarah and I are working on another new project in addition to DSoS and SWSP... It'll all become clear in the coming months... But in the meantime, I'll try to bring her on another dig really soon. Willie :)
Thanks John! Glad you enjoyed it. Can't see me pulling out 4 printed stoneware again any time soon! Hope you enjoyed Sarah's video too. We're currently on the Isle of Skye in what can only be described as biblical rain! Thankfully we decided to stay in a B&B this time and left the tent at home! Cheers, Willie :)
loved the royal pipe bowl and the hamilton. and the herd of dunragits! i think you may have fortuitously stumbled onto their breeding grounds. the water bottle stopper is gorgeous…let us know if you create something from it or how you display it. oh and of course: ❤🐞wee one
Whoa!! Four cream pots! What a great day. That bottle warmer stopper is absolutely beautiful. The Northern Mudlarks just found a massive bottle warmer on their last video 21:36. It huge, and they left it behind. Hmmm...if that stopper fit, and it looks like it might, that would be beautiful. It would make a great footstool in front of a chair. Just saying...😉 Love your video, as usual. The random shots of the fly on the leaf cracked me up, then I saw the whole convention. 😆 Thanks for the fun. I always look forward to it. 😊
Hi Sue! I know, right! 4 of them in one (.5) dig! The stoppers on the foot warmers are hand made, so they very rarely fit anything other than the one they were designed to fit. They're not a standard thread - believe me - I've tried so many times and been disappointed. As an ex-engineer it always winds me up! Not sure what was going on with the flies... suddenly there was one, then two, then about a thousand! A pleasure to share - glad you enjoyed it! Willie :)
Funnily enough, I’ve been back a couple of times since and not a sniff of a Dunragit! The tip just persistently baffles me with the random stuff it throws out. You’d think it would be fairly similar products from a local merchant or shop, but nope - utterly random brands and varieties. Can’t get my head around it one bit! Which is why I love it.
Great finds, good thing you decided to dig a fresh hole because the cream pots are lovely! I have never seen a hot water bottle stopper as pretty as that one, I wonder if the bottle was decorated too. Fab video 😀💗 x
Thanks Amanda - you're absolutely right! Glad I made the call before it was too late in the day! I bet the bottle was lovely too. I wonder if it'll show up! Willie :)
Hello Willie, Sarah and Jack Spaniels, thank you for bringing us along on your big dig. The little bottle you found on the second hole is my favorite of this week. Greetings from the U.S.A.
Thanks Colleen - I love these too. They're a relatively rare find on this tip. Pop up only now and again. If I had the space I'd keep them all, but unfortunately I don't. Fortunately though, I do get to share them with superb humans like your good self that support this channel and make it possible for us to do what we love! Thank you. Willie :)
Chilli cordial is better than you might think. Definitely try some time. Funnily it’s great when the weather is hot here in Aus. A favourite dirty tonic here has a chilli edge to it and makes a great G&T with a bit of a bite. 🔥
Great dig Willie, I am probably almost as tired as you were after that dig, I have spent the day preparing my house and yard for Hurricane Ian, that is headed for Florida later this week. Love your cream pots!
