I never understood the Mox hate. He gives 110%. Hard worker and dedicated. Anyone can fucking relate. I love him for his dedication and passion for the sport we all love. I remember when he showed up in AEW, my friends and I were collectively shitting ourselves. My friend's mom came into the room and were all screaming "HOLY SHIT HE'S HUGE!" LMAO 😅 I love Mox so much. He's just great at making us care and not blink twice when he showed up. 😅
Every other promotion Mox has been in saw him as a top guy. Njpw gave him a title his first time. They've only done that with 2 other wrestlers: Aj styles and Mercedes Mone Also Mox had to have njpw's permission to work with aew because he signed there first and that's how it was until Ihmori took over
Roman reigns and Seth Rollins were so boring and mid that they pushed me away from wrestling and watching frequently. It doesn't help that these two are forced down our throats for years so I just quit watching WWE. But jon moxley and aew reinvigorated my drive to watch the sport, jon moxley is a goat and I'm glad he left mid with WWE

WWE saw him as a guy who could always be put in a prominent spot, but never let him win. He pinned Rollins, got the win only to have another ref call it a DQ. He lost Hell in a cell because of a hologram. Lost to Wyatt because of a TV. Beat Triple H to win the title only to have another dusty finish. He was put into a match with Lesnar only to have WWE not want the extreme match to be extreme. You couldn't have that match be crazier than Shane vs Undertaker. He got a short title win, but it should have been longer. He was a big star in WWE , but never at the level he is at now. I can't blame WWE though, they made him a household name. They were paying him well, and I'm sure he never would have been put in the Ziggler role. But he made the choice that Cody Rhodes did. Best decision for all parties. Cody has become a main eventer because of AEW. All sides win. That's why we should want all wrestling companies to shine.
Eh, he's more just a good reliable backup quarterback that Tony calls to stand in when his real top stars are injured, which is quite often. I'll just say it; Dean Ambrose was a better character than Jon Moxley.

I've never seem a stable that every member became a top guy. Each member of The Shield changed the landscape of pro wrestling in some way. After The Shield "Last Dance", Rollins, Reigns and Ambrose reinvented themselfs, but Moxley is the one who has the most interesting path. Jon Moxley is truly the Ace of AEW, his debut was a game change because it proved that AEW would be not another TNA, but a legit competitor to WWE. Not only he carries AEW in hard times, but also elevates every other wrestles, look how every promo somehow he compliments his oponent (except one, CM Punk). He elevated Darby, Yuta and now Orange Cassidy. When NJPW broke the fobbiden door for the first time, it was Kenta attacking Jon Moxley When Hangman made his triumph return and became the 1st contender to face Kenny Omega for world title, he had to beat Jon Moxley in that ladder match.
Who could have thought that one of the three biggest stars created by wwe in 2010s would be the ace of the alternative promotion that seemed almost impossible when aew wasn't a thing That paradigm shift promo added more years to mine pro wrestling viewing that i still watch wrestling, i wasn't watching wrestling regularly by 2018 but came 2019 aew& 2020 pandemic with a lot of nothingness & spare time to get that wrestling love back.
4 months after this video, Punk's out AGAIN, seemingly permanently this time, and Moxley picks up the ball again for the company but now with the international Championship instead of the world title. If you have an ace up your sleeve, you'd be a fool not to play it when you're on the backfoot, and Jon Moxley is unequivocally AEW's Ace.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I think Dean Ambrose was a better character than Jon Moxley. His work in WWE was actually storyline driven and his character had many layers. Dean Ambrose did great work with the "lunatic fringe" gimmick, and the rivalries with Rollins and Reigns were legendary. Jon Moxley, on the other hand, is a very one dimensional character. His gimmick is simply "he's mad and he bleeds." Yawn. Oh, also, Tony Khan is a terrible booker, so that certainly doesn't help him.
The ace of aew is in a sissy stable that means nothing, and is drawing 3,000 people in his hometown. Hes a real guy to get behind and has evolved so much
