@@DrB048 3.0 has sooo many of these small improvements. I haven't played this game in a while, now I came back to check out the update on Testlive. I keep finding these improvements, asking myself, "wait, was this in the game before?" Nope. It's all 3.0. I wanted to go back to live for now, but I just can't. Even the performance feels better on testlive. So I'm eagerly waiting for the update to drop, testing out stuff in the meantime.
Love this. Subbed. Would love to see more short how to videos. Like a building class. Maybe after 7 or 8 small tutorial videos maybe a build video that uses those skills taught in the before videos. Like painting you don't start as bob Ross you learn to do a tree then clouds then water. Then you do a happy river in the forest.
Man my contest castle pathways were a pain in the ass to make cause the whole area was so uneven, in the future, I'll start by looking if the terrain is as flat as it needs to be cause my goodness... never do I want to do that again lol
Thanks for these tips; I've been using then on my builds and they work beautifully. My only problem is I am having tree stumps, rocks and bushes respawning through the walkways. Is this normal for the game or is this a bug with these walkways?
Unfortunately its normal for some reason. If your in a server that has no decay, you could also do fencing along the sides of the roads attached to pillars. The pillars would prevent local resources from spawning in.

Another player directed me to this video for an issue I am experiencing on Official servers. I can lay the paths no problem (even adjust the XYZ axis') but still running into problems sporadically with getting the walkways to connect for the timers. After hours of playing with it I can only get out about 8- walkways before I start running into the timer concern. Any further input on that would be greatly appreciated
Me and a friend make them like this but the grass comes trought one layer. What i do i one layer normal one later curved and then one layer normal again. This way the grass isn't that obvius.
@@DrB048 Oh that's huge. Wondered why it didn't do that. Do you think they might offer alternative Paved walkways someday? I like this way of making roads👌
@@confriepanda1959 not a clue, I'm guessing they won't because it causes performance issues on official servers when thousands of these things are placed lol.
@@DrB048 Is this still supposed to be the case? I placed a nice path (nice for a new builder, at least) between my partner's house and my own and it looked great, until the grass grew in and almost completely obscures it.
@Biotics & Headshots One of the new updates broke this feature again. As of right now, sometimes the grass won't show through and sometimes it will. I think it's complete random at this point.

The new 3.0 update will make roadways even better because it will eliminate the grass from poking through.

Yeah, I am not sure about the decay timer on official. Roadways might be more of a thing on private servers.

i dont have all these options when i try to build/place a pavement on the ground. i only have place and exit building in lower right.
You have the option, what system are you playing on?

What can I do to extend decay? My paveds decays in 1 hour.
Not sure about extending it other than changing up the decay rate under server settings.

That grass growing throuh, it ruins it.
The new 3.0 update fixes that. Grazz will no longer clip through foundations or road pieces.

I'm pretty sure you can tilt the stone walkways so they rise with the hills. It night have been a modded thing though?
They can to a point. If you get a bad batch of terrain with sudden rise or drop it won't let you place the walkways.
