My son did his MBA from AIMS Manila 8 years back and during his pass out ceremony we had visited Manila and some of the places you mentioned. The place and its people are beautiful. However there is poverty and slums also.

Last week, getting inspired from the road trip of SGK, Lal Jose and Alanchery in America, I went for a road trip from Vancouver (Canada to Disney land (Anaheim, California) - 2000 kilometres one side.
Ironically, the day I went, the Hollywood region in California was affected with intense wildfire and hence I had to return back after 2 nights in Disney land.
Fortunately, we were saved because Hollywood and universal studios is 90 km away from Disneyland. Still, the wind was too strong that there was every chances of wildfire spreading to Disneyland. And my 7 seater suv car was shaking in the wind. Thanks

We have a lot to learn from Philippines. I haven't seen people who are so socially aware and caring. You can find single file queues 3 kms long. Nobody stands on left side of an escalator. Like that so many things. Makati is more developed than Sydney. So clean and advanced!
