I’ve always wondered how some people are able to play while holding the very end of their sticks. RJ Pierce from Strung Out does the same thing. If I did that, several sticks would most assuredly fly right at the cameraman’s head hahaha
I find myself doing it while playing now but sometimes what you say happens and I lose a stick(it's like 5% of the time haha)it's weird cuz over the years I never did that but maybe it's the snare position, cuz I changed mine in the last year to make it flater, instead of at an angle toward me?
Peoples hands and way of holding things are different, we all have our own thing goin on, I like holding at the end too, feels like I can play more fluidly
such blows are much more powerful than if you hold a stick by the middle)
