lol, that was easy. I love lazyload, never thought it will harm my page.. Disabled it completely, added caching for images, js and css files and my site is now up from 92 page speed score to 99 lol. ps. not using wordpress, it's a hand made site written by myself with a huge db of content. cheers and thanks!
Just an update... I just realized that I had jquery included to footer of my site and all I used it for was to show and hide the mobile menu... Removed it completely, replaced the jquery code with javascript and I'm at 100 :)
Good video. Like you, I also got the poorest scores in Desktop, mobile I'm a little better but still in the yellow (needs improvement) I'm also using the SG Optimizer, I did check my lazy load settings and tweaked them so only the videos and below-the-fold elements would be affected. I also checked the font settings as I've heard that can contribute to a high CLS too. My score went up a little, but I'm still "in the yellow". I think I may need to tweak my Ad Sense placement settings. Are there any that would help? Like I said it seems to be mostly the desktop I have worse scores in.
I commented on your previous post as well. Like I said in the video this could be a "perceived" increase particularly in terms of CLS since this is a metric Google seems to be fixated on. Think about what this metric is, its basically a measure of how much shifting is happening when your page first loads. If you have featured images on your blog post and are lazy loading them, then the rest of your content is loading first, then once you lazy load your images the content has to shift...this is why I recommend disabling lazy loading for any images "above the fold".
you have implement a website that has nothing on it.... is it fair to say this will work for all website? i disabled the lazy loading for most and it did not change my score... In fact it lowered my score.... This all depends on the website... tired of it works for you... but maybe not me... because we have different websites, structures... right?
Hi there. I can't guarantee that this is the fix for you but it made a huge difference in terms of LCP and CLS for my sites. And it makes sense since lazy loading would impact both of these metrics.
Yes, probably force to AMP version on mobile to fix...still on the fence with it though. Different themes will impact mobile. I like this theme for desktop...thanks for watching!
it seems not applying to all, maybe you have a special case to get this improvement .also, please next time try to minimize the video as 16 mn can be squeezed to 3mn only.
You could very well add the css class attachment-full and have all featured images exclude from lazy loading

Would you know how to stop lazyloading on Shopify by any chance? I loved the content btw! Thank you!
OH GOD, THANK U SO MUCH! BRILLIANT WORKS!
Would be great to see a video on Ensure text remains visible during webfont load, Cheers
Preload the css and font being called by the css on above the fold area and maybe async the rest
My numbers were worse after disabling lazy loading ... I was so looking forward to the magic fix.
Sorry to hear it didnt work for you.
Goooood! Tnx! Was looking for this tip!

I use site ground and the plugin... your suggestions did not change anything in google page speed...

How can I solve this problem in blogger?
But the results are for Desktop not for Mobile

did not work, sorry to say...
Sorry it didn't work for you
Dude, you need to get to the point -- faster! This could have easily been a 5-minute video. To much padding.
Did not work. My site score went lower.
That's too bad it didnt work for you. Dont think it's a one size fits all solution but worked for myself and others.
