The Hammer Bro jumping over DGR and making him float to his death is hysterical to me. Like I'm crying. Also the part where he slides down the ice slope into a muncher. Amazing.
In the first level you do a corner/wall jump from the right side at the beginning which gives you more speed and then you turn around and do the weird slide thing dgr mentioned so you get enough speed and make it to the goal.
Either said than done though. I just did this myself and it's very inconsistent. I think I got it 4 times out of 30ish attempts and 3 of those times I stopped at the last piranha, not making it to the axe. 4th time I finally made it all the way.

Why do I have a feeling the trick to beating that level was, that it was one of those levels where Toad/Toadette has a smaller hitbox and you can just walk on through or something lol.

I don't think it's the latter because if they are different then the difference in them are very small and whoever copied and pasted a level is..... well I'll let you just use your imagination on what word/words I'd like to use.
