Hi, I have a question. I met this person in a Christian community and as we got to talking I realized that they were far from the truth. We got to discussing where each others faith was and they said this exactly- “I believe we all pray to the same higher power and divine being. But I think worldly religions are all just human representations of the same divine. We all pray together. But I understand a Christian POV since I was Christian for all my life until 2 years ago” “ 'God' just being a divine realm. We don't know its will, form, etc only what we experience” ''I have gone to many churches and have talked to many vicars. Even more so when I started losing faith and was heading down a road that I didn't want to go down. I did many things to cling onto my faith but God had a path for me to follow and I was holding back. Once I stopped lying to myself that I was a Christian, I started to follow what you call 'God' fully. And for the past two years, my faith is strong. 'God' has guided me and broke me free from the box of earthly religions. I pray 'God' does the same for you in time but if not, that's also okay because we all pray to the same God together ❤ I still go to Church, and my parish and pray with them. I still read the Bible as a great book, and love Jesus. I still pray to the Saints to pray for me. Nothing has changed for me in how I practice my faith I just don't take the wine and bread anymore. " I explained that taking the wine and bread is important if you are a follower of Christ as they symbolize our faith and Jesus dying for us and also asked them to go to a Christian church one day to hear our perspective and to explain their faith to the preacher. I talk to many people about this sort of thing but never somebody like this. We are still on great terms (though a bit awkward) and I am still contact with them but really don’t know what to do or say. What do you think I should say? Thx God Bless!
Jesus is unique and the only way to God!.Keep it Christ centered.Encourage him to read the gospel, and he will see what God is like as he sees Jesus there
