I am not from dunlaoghaire but have spent many years visiting and walking the piers and marina, like a second home to me in a way.lovely video and background music, peaceful and tranquil.thanks
Thanks for this nice video. It will be nice to save this video and watch it as Dun Laoghaire changes over the years. Ronny Drew and many other popular singers came from here, why not have them on the soundtrack.

@@JH2020 we hope to see the old and now brand new Dun Laoghaire baths promenade this June. And hope the bandstand is back on the Pier after the huge storm that hit the Pier so we can enjoy our Teddies :-)
Hi Matthew…I hope you are doing ok now…that was sad to hear and it is understandable if it brings back those bad memories for you…actually, I also attempted to take my own life 3 years ago (June 2018)…none of these videos would exist if I had of succeeded…I spent 3 weeks in hospital after it…in my case, it was in small woods in Tymon Park…I am doing fine now…I have been back to the park plenty of times and thankfully it doesn’t effect me but of course there are the memories…I have also lost some good friends to suicide including my best friend…I made a little dedication to him in the details section of my video of Lough Tay on my channel here…his anniversary is Christmas Eve…I hope you are doing reasonably well now…we take each day as it comes…look after yourself Matthew and best wishes
You should NOW jump in regularly.. Sea swimming is very good for mental health.. I'm speaking from experience as a daily sea swimmer.. Hope life is good for you these days Matthew.. You weren't meant to go. ❤
Me too, I was walking down towards Dun Laoghaire pier for suicide, luckily I was too afraid to do it, and put it off. Soon enough I came out of the darkness and was the better for it. I have had more than thirty years of inner happiness since, and no darkness at all. And yes, the whole area is lovely and very interesting, I was very lucky to have grown up in the area.
Davefcomposer : Hi Dave...yes, that would be fine...I would appreciate if you credit me and maybe the channel here JH2020...it will send some views my way 😉...I look forward to hearing the music 🎶
My kids dad's family's from here. He was born in London and when I was with him we'd spend Xmas and summers here so many memories.

Beautiful video. I have composed a piece of music called 'Dun Laoghaire Harbour', wondering if you'd be happy for me to set your video to the music?
