The amount of people who see the 'secret item' text, the blood stains surrounding them, and still jump to make sure is absolutely staggering in this game and I love it.

What makes it worse is the times where the message is right, but the item requires platforming and the bloodstains are just bad first jumps

Dude your sound design and editing do not get enough credit. The way you muffle sounds when the face gets smashed, the different smashing/crunching sounds on different materials, all the little details are so impressive.

I was barely human, I couldn't even manage movement and a camera in 3d games. I never used items or inventory cuz I was so focus on rolling. I rushed Margit with a low level just to be exterminated. This was my first from soft, and it is the absolute best to start. Exploring match learning. Epic and majesty balance the hard and pain parts. This game is so huge and long, but at the end, when you beat it... Everything is satisfying, yet it's not enought. 10/10

I started playing the other day and totally missed the tutorial hole and I spent 3 hours in the over world having no fucking idea what I was doing getting absolutely demolished by everything I came across... Good times...
lmao, with my first character i missed the tutorial too, but gladly i started with a new one and thought now i try the other way and it was the fucking tutorial for the basic moves, i was so happy and felt stupid at the same time, lol.

@@mrsensei8878 yep, right after the first death, u start in a cave and there is a ghost on the right side who tell u to try jumping down, there is the tutorial for the basic moves, it wont tell u everything but all the basic stuff, so it helped me to get into the game since its my first fromsoftware game.
The secret item was of course the peace of death

Didn't run into one of the agro goats until fighting two of the huge dogs in Caelid. It interrupted the spell I was casting then they closed in and killed me. I don't even need the materials from them anymore, I kill them purely out of spite now.

Yep, I didn't find a lot of fun in that one From Soft game... It's so cruel, I can't at that point. It's like the worst parts of Dark Souls 2, but EVERYWHERE IN THE GAME! And that's where I draw the line, I had no fun in that game, but it made me feel sick, SICK! I'll just replay Sekiro hundreds of times to feel better.
It`s great fun, you just need to be able to learn and not have everything handed on a plate 🤦♂️

When you see those messages of jump, just throw a rainbow stone where the fall is. If it lands that means you'll survive the fall, of it breaks that means you die

@@oatsmcgoats0182 honestly Sekiro was a lot easier in my opinion. The first playthrough was rough, sure. But once you realized that it was essentially a rythm game it got a lot easier. Super satisfying when you get the hang of it.

At first I didn’t like the game and thought all the great reviews were shills.. the more I played it I got hooked. The atmosphere is so weird and I love it. I like the strange looking creatures that look unique and the feeling of not knowing what the hell is going on and not really being told what to do and where to go. It’s mentally stimulating

At the 3rd boss around level 50 ish you can respec your character so have fun and try stuff
@@hellskitchen7853 At your first 40 hours or so, the only universal essential stats you need is Vigor. Aside from that, you only need the stats that let you use the gear/spell you want to use. Especially with weapons, if you want to hit harder, your best bet is putting as many upgrade stones on a preferred weapon as you can, compared to putting levels in Dex or Str. Want to use a new spell that needs 30 Int? Then put points in int until you get 30.

I love subtle details - how it's obvious the character is getting stronger, but still keeps dying to more and more bizarre enemies. Oh, and the ending, the ending is hilarious and also spot-on.
That is the biggest issue with I have with (all) Demons, Darks and Elden games. You can jump around like ninja all day long, no problem. But If I have full plate and a big f. Hammer, and killed all mega bosses in game, then I will not be staggered by a dog, and I want to one smash wizzard in his dress. And if I am an archer with insane dex and all the way upgraded bow, then I want that hit in the eye would mean something. Mimic spirit is true champ of elden ring. He can do all the things I cant. Fromsoft should fix poise at least.
My biggest issue isnt that the game is frustrating a lot of the time. It's the fact that as a level 50 I dont feel any stronger than I was as a level 1. The fact that a common enemy can even really hurt or stagger you like they could when you were low level, is unsatisfying. Doesnt feel like any progression. Imma mod it out so it's fun at least

@@stockimageofahacker2280 the playstyle is probably the issue. I'm used to ESO and other fast paced games. Cant get used to being patient. And I dont see how any stat adjustment can change anything really. Even with 100 levels into health a lot of bosses would still kill me in 2 or 3 hits
being a souls vet i never trust the messages on a cliffside that say "Jump for amazing item."
and hell if in doubt.. thats what prism stones are for!

The guy who animates these shorts used to be my junior youth leader along with another guy named aaron. This was in a small town called welland. I will never ever forget the day he revealed himself to be carbot. About a week later or so i was able to actually chill there for a bday and see some of his starcraft shorts before they got released. Really cool guy and also a really cool channel. He moved away some months later but, Glad to see it still getting love ♥️ brings back so many memories.

i've been taken from 100% hp to 0 by a stupid boss combo when he was at .00001% health. It's like that is the time you gotta really lock in because you know the boss is about to throw everything at you lol
My fav part of Carbot skits is that you either know the joke or you dont. Theres no hand holding or unnecessary context.
Kinda like a certain game that sends you out into the world and makes you figure it out..

@@svankensen the point is that there are very specific things that you won't get. IE the massive arrow... We all know exactly where that is in the game. If you haven't played the game you wouldn't understand the nuance to most of these clips. Yes you think it's funny but not at the same way someone who's been to that zone would.

Started a few days ago. Never have I been so completely overwhelmed by a game at this scale. Ludicrously difficult. No help. No information. No journal. Nothing. Nada. Here's the world - all the bloody best. Level 45 and am still has squishy and noobish as level 1. Love it.
This is EXACTLY scene by scene the feelings I had in the first hours of the game. Now I‘m loving it, starting my second playthrough.
I can deal with bodily harm, but why the game had to hit you with emotional bomb right from the beginning? "Maidenless!"

The frantic rolling at 00:41 only to get hit anyway is painfully accurate.

they taught the enemies how to roll catch (delay their attacks for so long that fucks with our timing that we are use to dodging)
Its taken me 30+ hours and more than 50 levels to realize dodging towards enemies is much more effective. You get under their range of attack and can sometimes backstab them.

Buy it! Its incredibly fun, it can give you mild PTSD but so can other fun activities like sky diving. YOLO
It’s definitely much much easier than the other games. Maybe not Sekiro, but you’ll definitely have fun with the game. I’m 60 hours in with only 1 hour in all 4 of the other games from fromsoft that I haven’t mentioned.
Just don’t forget to grind every so often.
@@aHumanBeing97 Personally don't find it easier then the others (Coming from someone who has beaten most of the others) if anything it's harder due to enemies being refined & faster then previous games.
It is more newcomer friendly with tutorials, items & progression.
With the others you kinda had to go a set path eg beating a certain boss to continue an area. (There was different routes) But in this if you hit a wall 9/10 times you can go to a different location & come back later.
@@DanTheReaperMann maybe I’ve over grinded. I didn’t really explore Limgrave until I was level 50 I’m currently 60 hours in but only 3 (plot) bosses done, I did the same with FFX where I didn’t leave the first island for over 100 hours 😂.

Absolutely love it. I had hoped the first horse knight had a larger role. He is a beginner blender if i ever saw one.
Yeah but he LOOKS like a blender. He looks like he'll smoke you, then he does, then you move on, and THEN you get smoked by some trash mobs and it really hurts.
It's not the ones that look like blenders that hurt. You know what you're getting into if you step to him. Walking around a corner and getting absolutely bodied by a basic rat, that stings.

Literally, this is my first souls game and I thought it was shit at first cos it was so hard, but now I’ve put more time in and it’s actually pretty enjoyable now that I don’t get one shot by knights 😂

@@Supervillain725 as you level up a bit and have decent weapons I’ve found the first play through gets much better, not sure about ramped up difficulty on ng+ tho
