    .
    . A stethoscope is a medical instrument to listen to a patient's heartbeat or breathing, and typically has a small disc-shaped resonator that is placed against the chest, and two tubes connected to earpieces. Here, we insert pipes in a cut ball and insert binding wire to the pipes to give them the shape of a stethoscope. Foam pieces are fixed at the other end of the rubber pipes to make the ear plugs.

    Does it really work?

    • @ThinkTac
      @ThinkTac  Год назад

      Of course! Please make it and try it. Perhaps not as well as commercial medical ones, but given its simplicity and affordability, it works remarkably well: lub-dub of the heartbeat, digestive sounds, etc can easily be heard clearly

    can straws be used instead of the rubber pipe?

      does the this stethoscope work?

    • @ThinkTac
      @ThinkTac  Год назад

      Straws usually don't bend while continuing to be open throughout. I.e., they are a little bit more stiff than rubber tubing. But they are also more flimsy. So we would recommend rubber tubing, but you can surely try straw and let us know the result!

    What is the working principle of it?

    • @ThinkTac
      @ThinkTac  3 года назад +3

      The beating heart causes vibrations in the chest, which get transferred to the balloon membrane on the stethoscope bell. The balloon membrane vibrates, causing sound that travels through the pipe and into your ear for you to hear clearly the lub-dub of your (or anyone else's!) heart!

    How much breath ?
    Can we use that drips pipe used in hospital or skipping pipe
    Reply fast

    • @ThinkTac
      @ThinkTac  4 года назад

      Any hollow rubber or plastic pipe can be used. Cloth won't be ideal as it would absorb too much of the vibrations. Not understood your first question about how much breath. You don't need to breathe deeply or anything to use the stethoscope to listen to your heartbeats. Breathe normally. However, if you wish to check for congestion in your lungs, then you will have to take deep breaths while using the stethoscope
