This is one of the best stories I've listened to so far. Actually probably the best. Loads of plot twists and being blindsided multiple times really kept me involved. I think they killed each other's opposites so he her and she his wife and that because they both cheated without knowing it. Despite a lot of research, it was never properly investigated who committed the last attack on him and his wife was completely lost. So now he's getting married to the wife of the man his wife cheated on.
I must say that was a Fantastic Story! Not boring, not predictable just a great fantasy for cheating better think twice if the consequences are worth it.

in most countries it takes 7 years to be deemed dead by the courts. also the fact they never stated where the family came from in the first place knew it was the wife. but a happy ending once married he can confess to offing her husband and they can rise their family to know how to bury the bodies.
It takes less time to divorce because of abandonment. Typically about 1 or 2 years.
This is a creepy story. Man kills his wife's AP then moves in on the widow. The widow has a suspicious family that kills his wife. You don't just murder someone and then become a great father and husband. If this guy can live with his actions, he's a psychopath.

Sounds like Emily figured out that Brian took out Emily's husband Clay on the mountain. But since he had an airtight aliby, he couldn't be suspected.
Donna brought suspicion on herself when she tried to poison her husband Brian, but failed. Donna didn't know that Brian had already cut her out as recipient of any money if he died.
The hitman Bobby likely sabotage Brian's Hummer, but luckily Brian was alert in hiw to handle a runaway vehicle. He didn't expect the airbag to be sabotaged though.
At that point, Donna knew that she was a definite suspect in trying to kill her husband Brian. So she had to disappear ... Leave everything behind immediately.
Unfortunately, she was too late. Emily likely has Donna taken, by acquaintances from Philadelphia, just like she had the hitman Bobby taken. Donna disappeared by left behind her ID and a purse full of cash. So donna didn't go willingly.
Another nice detail was how Emily was described when we were first introduced to her at the funeral. She had the strength and fire to dress down the woman who was an having an affair with her now dead husband and even had some choice words for the MC basically calling him a pathetic wimp.
At the time I really wondered about her character being so vitriolic seeing as how most normal people would be a wreck with grief and wouldn’t have the strength to tell off two people at their spouse’s funeral.
Everything fell into place when at the end it was revealed that she was from a mafioso or gangster (the details weren’t really explained) family background. It makes sense why she was able to act the way she did at the funeral seeing as how that’s exactly the type of attitude you would expect from someone with that type of family background.
The ending was anticlimactic. It just feels like it was half a story.
This was a good story.
All the lies and deceit ,the jealousy and envies in this cheating thriller has to start somewhere and it has it's dark beginning that we would likely not want to admit , something that has gone out of control . That has thrown marriages , so - called holy matrimony out of the window ,and cheating seems to be the name of the game . The whole of humanity seems to be playing Consensuality without thinking of the consequences or the backlash that accompanies such actions . When we think of consensual sex we are actually playing into the hands of the Devil and we are ignorantly supporting it !

At first I was wondering why she was so fiery when we were first introduced to her at the funeral. Even though she just lost her husband she had the strength to dress down the woman who he was having an affair with and even gave the MC (who would later become her husband) what for. Called him a wimp and basically said he was pathetic. That’s the type of strength and fire you would expect from someone who grew up in a mafioso or gangster type family. Most normal people would be a wreck and just break down crying in that situation, instead she threw venom and vitriol. It all makes sense now that we find out what happened in the end.

Hang on how did he push him off the mountain if he was with his wife. Confused here. Me thinks Emily is connrcted and killed Donna
Right you are. Emily is connected to the Philadelphia Mob. Remember they found the hit man in Philly as well. Brian pushed the AP off the mountain after Abby and the AP finished their meet up in the park. It wasn't planned that way but the opportunity presented itself and Brian got his chance to kill the AP and took it by pushing him off the mountain. All he originally wanted was proof of Donna's affair with pictures. Which he did get but then couldn't use because he murdered the AP.
Where the police messed up is not checking the cell tower data when Brian's assistant calls him to tell him she was leaving for the day. He answers the call while at the park and not from the basement archives where he worked. If they had thought to do that Brian would have been busted. The 10 minute drive (park to work) would have put him at a different cell tower connection.
Murder is never right. Now those boys dont have a father. 😢😢
