I bought the majorcraft FTX-46/505UL last year, it's a 5 piece pack rod. Really like it for when I ride my motorcycle out to my fishing holes. Impressive quality for the price no doubt.
Just ordered the finetail stream fsx542ul thanks to you and this video. Should come from digitaka to my house in about a week. Love the free shipping. Came out to about $150 total. I decided to get this instead of the daiwa purelist solely because of your praise and review. I trust what you have to say about things like this. Can't wait to try it out on the river and update you with my experiences!
Great video and channel. I too love MC trout rods. I have the FSG-B410UL, FSX-B502L, and a Troutino TTS-B410UL. Like you were saying, they really are a true fast action. A couple of years back myself and a friend were fishing in northern Michigan, I had my Troutino and he had his St Croix Trout series. The St Croix felt every bit like a wet noodle even though it's sold as a fast action rod. I'm really loving the FSX-B502L, it's a great rod for combat fishing for the Great Lakes run steelhead I chase during the cold months.
I would love to know what you say on the exit as I never can hear it clearly. Thank you again for the info I’m in like 4 major craft rods a rayz rod and a few reels because of the info you provide and I couldn’t be happier! Fishing is definitely more fun than it ever has been.
One rod I really think you will like is the tenryu rays spectra jerkin custom. I know you fished the rays spectra before but for jerk baits this model is amazing
You have to stop doing these affordable rod reviews. When you do high end rods, I know I'm not going to buy one but these Major Crafts are always tempting. Haven't been able to fish the Finetail FSX-512L2 on a stream yet but did catch some big crappies and yellow perch from the kayak on a lake with it. So much stiffer than I'm used to but still liked it and found it would even cast well below it's 2-10 g rating, launching 1 g w/o issue on 2# SOS line. As always, appreciate you and these videos.
Thanks for watching…got it at JDM Tackle jdmtackleheaven.com/collections/major-craft-finetail/products/major-craft-new-finetail-stream-spinning-fsx-462ul
