Got a 1/2" last night , we have gotten about 1.75" past 3 days from 2 rains.
Will finish off a great bean crop, and the pastures are slowly greening up. We need alot more, last drought monitor placed us in D1 and it sure felt like it

Here in north central nebraska, we haven't had a measurable rain since the 3rd of July

Flew from San Francisco to Nashville a couple of days ago - I had a window seat and I enjoyed watching the numerous cumulous clouds and a few larger ones when flying over the canyon lands of southern Utah and northern Arizona. Made me remember the weather maps and the flow of monsoonal moisture over the four corners region. The clouds disappeared by the time we were north of Santa Fe. When we approached Nashville there was a haze in the sky - made me wonder if there was residual smoke from the North American wildfires.

I read about an Atlantic La Niña developing as well. Pretty sure we had an Atlantic El Niño 2020-2022. Gotta look back in the SST maps. I’m very positive that the Atlantic counterpart to the pacific phenomena plays a large, albeit not as powerful, role in world climate. IMO they are talking about this because the skeptics/deniers keep making very strong points about many causes of warmer climates. Cheers
