Could have gone into the Hive Barrens for the 12 minute boss to be Vipress for her scales, it gives your bullets +50% lifetime so they would bounce around more. Missing out on the Carl upgrade would kinda suck though, but for a non-under barrel build it could be worth thinking about! You could also stay in there until 16 minutes to fight Charger early and either get him twice since he will still spawn in the forest area at 20 min, or get Queen Betty because of her "On Fire" Bonus.

I was on MnK with no controller equipped. I've noticed it does this when no enemies are in range + auto fire/aim
