So very Sorry Gwanda, I to know your pain. I lost my two-year-old in 1996 to a pool accident. He was 2 years old. The grief from losing a child is not comparable to any other grief in this life. God was and continues to be my strength and I'm sure he is yours as well. I have never been the same and neither will you be. I cannot comprehend how people go through such deep pain without Jesus. Big hugs to you.

Thank you Gwenda for sharing your story! I had 3 miscarriages and one full term stillborn baby. After genetic testing it was found I carry a chromosome translocation. I was never able to have children, but I have great joy teaching children's church, and mentoring young women. I will always be grateful to God for allowing me to experience pregnancy even though the empty arms were heartbreaking. He did restore my joy. I noticed that even when talking about a hard subject you and Gwenda were able to share smiles. We grieve, but not without hope! ❤ This was very encouraging!

Thanks so much for having the courage to share.

My heart really hurts for Gwenda. Such a sad time for her and her family. I lost both my children to drunk drivers. My younger son died 6/9/91 and my older son died 6/24/95, 28 years ago today (as I write this). My heart breaks for this family. Yet, I understand their joy as well. What a wonderful story!

Gwenda, you did such a good job, I know this interview must have been pretty emotional for you…I honestly didn’t want to watch it when I saw the title. I was 14 when my mom gave birth to my little sister, her name was Mary Beth and she lived 8 hrs. My mom had developed Toxemia and my little sister died from complications from it. I remember how hard my mom took losing her and at the age I was then I always felt that there was maybe something I should have done to help my mom out when she was pregnant…did I do something wrong. I carried that guilt for quite a few years. I am 75 years old now and It was so long ago but I remember how my mother quietly grieved until the day she herself passed away. So my heart goes out to you and your husband , I will pray for not only you but also for your children because it is a confusing time for them too even if they don’t always show it. I. Glad I did watch the interview, it was honest and well said…I think you helped others by agreeing to do it . God Bless you and your family

I burst out crying seeing the picture of little Emmitt…I cannot imagine your grief dear Sister in Jesus Yahusha. I lost my husband of 40 years and although it’s now been 10 yrs there is such a huge hole in my heart, our Savior is filling it more and more each day. I learned I had to push through the grief and not try to avoid it …this made the healing process work faster. Our Father gives us His children to care for and why He decided to take little Emmitt back into His own arms so soon, we cannot understand. I am so happy He is safe and happy in the arms of our Shepherd who cares so much for his lambs. I’ve prayed for you Gwenda, and your family and trust that Abba will continue to care for you all.

Happy Birthday in Heaven, Emmitt!! July 1st will be the birthday of my 4th son. He would have been 3 years this year. He passed away at 6 days old. I know the overwhelming, all consuming grief that can take over. You have to learn how to live as this new person, like you said you've lost a certain innocence to life. We can never say we know exactly how anyone feels, but the God of all comfort knows and He is ABLE to heal the hurt. Thank you for sharing your heartache! My husband and I say often, Heaven is only getting sweeter!!💙

As a mother who has lost a child, I feel your grief. Our daughter was 15 yrs. old when she passed away. The way you described your grief is so spot on with how it feels. Mothers feel this grief differently than Dads, not more so just different. Bless your heart for sharing, this will help others, especially those without faith. We Moms that have experienced loss of a child have a kindred spirit.

I finally listened to this and I knew a little of the story but it was good to hear it from Gwenda's perspective! I know how hard it is to lose a baby having lost a full term stillborn girl 22 years ago and then a year and a half later losing a little boy at 20 weeks gestation. I was thankful for 3 boys to keep me busy but I found doing a photo and scrapbook of her to be very healing. I also found healing in talking about it. But I struggled much with worry when I was pregnant with my subsequent pregnancies. I understand how hard it is to hold and love on other babies! Prayers for you , Gwenda, & Nick and your girls! The picture of little Emmett is so precious!

The hole never really goes away, it’s been almost 39 yrs since our son was stillborn. I understand what you’ve said because some of the same things and feelings happened to me. All I can truly say is that in my comfort and realization is that our son was now safely in the hands of God, he would never have to go through any sorrow or pain here. I also have two daughters whom I pray for safety even though they are grown adults, you never stop worrying about them (even though I know they are in Gods hands).

I know I would have never made it through that time without my faith in God ! I had 2 daughters after and the fear of losing each one was very real. It’s been a lot of years now but I still think about him and what he would be like. I’m looking forward to holding him in my arms again one day ! Sending you comfort and peace Gwenda. 🙏🏼💖

My heart goes out to you💔 something similar happened to my husband and I last summer. I was 20 weeks pregnant when an ultrasound specialist told me there was no fluid around the baby so we had to rush to the hospital and 3 days later we were told there was no heartbeat. I gave birth to our son, we held him, spent time with him before going home and there’s no way to explain that kind of heartache. There’s something so traumatic about giving birth to your baby when there’s no life😢 he was our first and I think that made it even harder. Thanks for sharing your story and being willing to open up. God bless and may you continue to find healing🙏🏻

Oh sweet Lady I feel your pain. My daughter was stillborn. She would be 11 years old this month. I am always aware of all the 11 year old little girls around or what ever age she would be. 11 years later it can still be hard to be with pregnant mothers or new babies. The ache never goes away just gets easier to live with. I am grateful I had a 2nyear old daughter to come home to and parent and later had a rainbow baby who has hell to heal so much pain.

Long story short, at 20 wks we found out she probably will not live here on earth. Totally different situations but I can testify that with time comes Peace , Joy and even Glorifying God throughout sorrow. Thank you for sharing your story. I am so sorry for the loss of your dear child. Last September, I lost my 2nd daughter unexpectedly after 36 weeks of pregnancy. Until now, I have found it too difficult to listen to the experiences of others who have also lost a child. I'm glad I watched this video anyway, because I recognised what you said. The gratitude for my other daughter, the hesitation to hold babies, and also the fear of losing again. I just found out that I am pregnant again and I am balancing between fear and trusting God. He carried us in an amazing way during that difficult time, but honestly I don't manage to keep trusting Him all the time..

I know it must have been a hard decision for Gwenda to share such a hard story as losing a child they were looking forward to welcoming into their family but I am sure her story will help someone who is going through the same situation. May God continue to bring healing to this family. The girls have lost a brother and going through their own grief as well as the parents losing a son. It sounds like this family has a very good support system from their church for them to lean on. Thank you both for sharing this touching story. Many prayers will be going up to heaven for this family and others who have walked this path and will in the future walk this faith. God is getting them through it one step at a time.

May the God of all comfort draw near to you and your family at this painful time. This happened to my parents when they were young and I know they carried that pain all their lives. My dear father passed away 1st June this year. He was the sweetest man with a great love for all his family. God bless you and pour out his healing balm on your heart. ♥️

Oh Gwenda, I feel your pain. Our first born died at 5 days old, our 2nd child ( c- section) at 24 hours old and our third child(also c-section) lived for about 15 minutes.
Its a sorrow that cant be put into words. To walk back into your house empty handed, past the nursery you had prepared, is heartbreaking.
But Thank the Lord, He brings healing and joy back in our lives! He allowed us to adopt a beautiful son and ill forever be thankful for that.
Praying God will give you peace and fill you and your husbands lives with joy 💕

I know some other youtubers that have lost baby's at the birth time. I have a friend that lost her 9 mos. old in a pool drowning. You know that you are not alone and you will see him again. You will grieve and continue because God has a plan for you, your husband and your other children. Love and Blessings to you and your family

What a beautiful little boy. So sorry for your loss. Gwenda's testimony really hits the heart. So glad that her children and caring for them were a blessing to her. Was any explanation given on why she lost the fluid? Is this something she has to worry about in the future?

It doesn't seem to be something that could be a problem in future pregnancies. The doctors do seem a bit unsure how to answer some questions as the case was seemingly rare.

Thank you for sharing this Gwenda and Janine!
22 years ago we experienced the loss of two children in eight days (twins). It was so hartbreaking. There are not very much people that understand the grief and really know how to listen without giving all kinds of advices.
Thanks for sharing your story and Janine, thank you for showing how to listen!
Boldly take all the time you need to grieve!
