If anyone has any other accounts of what happened today feel free comment on this video and I'll give it a pin as it would be good to get a more rounded story together as I'm definitely sure there was some things I did miss!

Don't apologise for the language. The same sort of language was coming from the Rotherham end. The two fans aren't what we are about. We were as annoyed as you.

Rotherham fan here. We certainly didn't boo our players off at half time, I guess when your team is getting all the dubious decisions from the officials, you don't notice how awful they are. Those match officials should be nowhere near a FL game, and the jeers were directed solely at them.
The pitch invaders - absolute morons. Swiftly dealt with by the club, I'm hearing both have received lifetime bans for their efforts.
Can't argue with your comments about the stewarding. Said to my mate as it was happening, how casual the stewards were in getting them off the pitch, and if it was away fans they'd be all over them instantly. Wasn't aware of an actual incident in the away end but it says it all that they pounce quickly on away fans for next to nowt and its not on.
Our clubs have had a lot of respect for each other in recent years for many reasons, today it all fell apart but I hope it doesn't tarnish our clubs' friendship in the future.

That ref was absolutely appalling for you those 2 yellow cards in under 20 mins were shocking as it was both of the players first challenges. I too also hope that the friendship between both clubs isn't damaged too badly as it would be a real shame. Thanks for watching Paul mate!

Thanks Liam. I don’t think the bad language has offended anyone, certainly not me. It was a reasonably good piece. As a Rotherham fan of many decades I apologise for some of our dickhead fans, that was totally unacceptable and hopefully the culprits are severely punished. However although Pell must have been shaken up, I would hardly call it a physical assault, he hardly touched him. Not making any excuses whatsoever for the incident but the shocking refereeing didn’t help at all. Along with Trevor Kettle, he is one of the worst referees I have ever seen. After warning your keeper of blatant time wasting, it took him until just before half-time to book him. Accrington number 11 was happily falling over himself to get free kicks, with the referee Duly obliging.
Apart from the last five minutes I thought Rotherham were the better team and just deserved their win but I can understand the frustration from your side.
It was Michael Smith who caught the knob head. Also, the clock was above your heads. Not the ideal spot for away supporters.
Keep up with your vlog (or whatever it’s called) and all the best to Accrington Stanley who most Millers fans regard as a great club.

Another great vid Liam..gutted we came away with zilch. I know if I was coach or captain, I would NEVER have let Pell take the spotty after his assault, however he did and the poor bugger must be feeling rotten right now-a real rock under his beach towel. From what I can see on the vid, seems like you may be a little tough on the stewards, but of course I'm restricted in what I can view. 3 points mid week please STANLEY.
Cheers for watching John mate and regarding the stewards I think everyone will have a different story based on where they were and looking back on it now everything happened so fast I myself am doubting what I did actually see but speaking to a variety of fans after the game the stewards did everything I mentioned and potentially more but at the end of the day its just one person's word against another's and I have no proof.
As a Rotherham fan the person who ran on the pitch it was unacceptable to not only run onto the pitch but it is summet that happens but to physically assault one of the players it is disgusting. Hope the player is ok

That lunatic fan should have been let loose in the Accrington end after that assault. Good luck for the rest of the season Accies, you have certainly sussed us over 3 games this season. Must say 2 professional teams refereed by a total amateur and embarrassment to all refs, I would love to see the assessor’s report on this goon

Referee was horrendous yesterday, It’s honestly got to be up there for the worst display I’ve ever seen. He tried everything in his power to stop us winning that game.
Your keeper got away with absolute murder.
Unlucky though to not come away with a point.
Had to take a wonder goal to win it.
Just hope that them idiots don’t cost us promotion with a points deduction.

Toby Savin without a doubt deserved the yellow and I think only he knows the reason why he did it my guess would be to get a reaction from your fans. The ref I agree was atrocious and especially hard on Rotherham .

enjoyed your vid from boxing day and this one didn't disappoint few things really it must be frustrating watching your team play like that it certainly was for us
i think to be fair had we had a strong ref then a good game of football could have broken out it defiantly needed the goal to stop the time wasting
the "assault" wrong would have possibly been amusing distraction if he hadn't made contact with pell i think with hind sight of the Forrest Leicester game assault is a bit ott stupidity of the highest order which they will pay for is more the mark given everything that happened perhaps Pell should have stood aside
On to your managers interview that was a bit cringe worthy never seen anything like it in all his life? where was he when Kirkland was assaulted?

absolutely nothing wrong with the language you used at the time thats what makes it real and conveys the emotion and frustration of being a real fan in the moment watching real football in the lower leagues something far too many lose with their sky armchair season tickets!

One of the reasons I love our manager is because he always says what he truly thinks even if he is wrong and opens himself up to a hell of a lot of scrutiny he's always true to himself and even if I don't agree with that he says I'll respect him for it as a lot of manager are too diplomatic especially the further up the leagues you go.

You deserved fuck all from the game the time wasting faking fouls and general bad play was appalling it was like playing Wycombe again . The 2 bell ends that ran on the pitch have been arrested and banned for life i hope they both get jailed. Spoilt a fantastic win over a team that didn't want to play any football whatsoever .Having said that great vlog the bad language is part off it its a footie game not a bowls match :) Hope you stop up despite the anti footie you club deserve massive respect for trying to do things right with a tiny budget i will smash a like keep vlogging you do a great job.

Cheers for watching pal I think when playing top the league the time wasting is be expected and is undeniable but to say we deserved nothing from the game whatsoever is in my opinion a little harsh as we created a few chances in the second half we had one cleared off the line by one of your players hands, we had a penalty and also hit the post as well as forcing some cracking saves from Vickers. If your point is that we deserved nothing due to the time wasting I'd understand the frustration and reasoning completely but for a game that only had one goal in it and the potential for far more I think saying we deserved nothing is harsh.
SWFC fan. Love your posts, always very fair and balanced. This is very serious because those fans affected the ability of Pell to take the penalty. 1 1 and Rotherham down to 10 men, you could have won the game. This cannot be allowed to happen again in any game. The league should take 3 points off Rotherham for this. It is the only detterant.
Thanks for watching and enjoying my posts mate I appreciate it! Rotherham could very well get fined or deducted points but I can't say I'm all that bothered because regardless of what disciplinary action is taken we won't directly benefit from it when our player and club is the victim in this.

All three matches that we has this season you have played the same depressing way twice you fluked a win against the run of play. That 'pen' was a close rang shot that just hit woods and from most people i have spoken too it struck 90% chest and 10% shoulder

@@Towerwatson525 The reason we had a penalty in the first place was because your defender was sent off for stopping a certain goal so our equaliser should have come from that not the penalty.
Also in injury time we hit the bar so taking all of that into account as well as the saves we forced from Vickers which is the main reason he was in the team of the week, so yes I do feel like we should have gotten at least something from the game after all there was only one goal to separate the two sides.
Our time wasting was apparent and undeniable yes but that's a large part of league one football. In our first season in LG1 we had no idea how to play in the league and week after week we were continously outraged by the diving when our players weren't doing it . But slowly we adapted as you need to if you want to survive in the league.
There are 2 types of teams that don't dive the 1st type don't need to due to ability of their players as it won't impact their performance if they are penalised for a player on the opposite team diving i.e Rotherham it won't make a difference and they will still win the game . The second type don't dive because they can't adapt quick enough and get relegated. The point I'm trying to make is we are a regular league one team who has had to fight and adapt to being a league one team and that is how league one teams play.
Regarding our stewards at home for the last 15 mins or so the home stewards are crouched behind the barrier in front of the stand and regularly patrol up and down the stand which can be clearly seen in my home vlogs unlike Rotherhams who just seem to stand there watching the game completely oblivious to what fans they are meant to be keeping an eye on are doing as was demonstrated on Saturday.
The fact is you'll see the incident regarding Harry Pell differently to me because he's not one of your players I myself would probably do the same if it happened to another team but I assure you that if it was one of your players then you would share the same outrage I do.

Yes, I know know as a fan that it's normal to grasp at what could have been, but football is exactly that, unpredictable. I could bore you all night how it was unfair how the Millers got relegated last season but it it what it is.
The reality is Rotherham were the better team over 98 mins ,however Stanley missed a penalty and then hit the bar against 10 men that agreed, could have fluked um another result against us!
