Moved there in '71, it was different then: eccentric, forgiving.
More crime, less money, lower status, local bars..."Social Security bars" you walked three steps down(not the bar in NW).
"What are you doing living there?" was the usual response.
It was good. I made to '93 then skeedaddled when the crack wars hit.
2 chichi for me now.
I live in Kingman Park and often say that I live on "Capitol Hill" because I feel like it's close enough!
Def feels like part of the neighborhood. Plus it's so close to all those great new fields and easy access to H St via Street Car!

Great vid! I didnt know I could consider myself living on "the hill" being in Langston carver. Luckily this neighborhood sits high so I can see the Capitol and RFK from my house!

I live on H St Corridor. This is the first I hear of the food place at Potomac . Do you mean the station?
The Roost? It’s across the street from the station. South side of Penn Ave.

We need to move to the DC area, we need to rent. The costs of rent all around DC that I’ve found are extremely expensive. We just need to rent a 2-3 bed/1 bath condo, townhouse, duplex or houses. Can you please help me?

What is the crime and panhandling like in the historic part of Capitol Hill (West of Lincoln Park, South of Stanton Park)?
Not a mention of crime, which is easily the biggest issue when living there. Remarkable piece of sugarcoating, even for a realtor.
Is forest hills on the hill
Not that I know of!
