When I lived in Melton and he was my MP he did nothing for the area even forgot to mention Melton in this interview. The constituency is Melton and Rutland not Rutland. Then again since I have lived in Boston and Skegness Matt Warman hasn’t done much either.

Always wondered what happened with Sir Alan Duncan; you see, in the early 1990s, he wrote a book(Saturn's Children) which had a very radical libertarian slant to it, calling for mass privatisation essentially - really trimming down all of government - but despite being in government, none of his policies or ideas ever came to pass - indeed they all seem to have been forgotten about. He was also very anti-EU - not wanting the Euro around the time it was launched, I believe he even favoured leaving the EU, but come Brexit - he famously backed remain because he had some falling out with the Leave camp. I suspect he never really had the courage of his convictions. Given what we know now, with his business dealings - he is not practically trustworthy.

I disagree with Alan in that you don't need wisdom or even intelligence to be a Front Bench minister what you do need is a zealotry to filter progress via your parties ideology and to make sure the system doesn't secretly do something different.
You can have the unelectable wise and intelligent ie Dominic Cummings, Peter Mandelson, Think Tanks as your advisors and inspired policy makers.
