I like this scoring system a lot. However, in order to simplify it for the audience, I'd recommend getting rid of both "game" points and "set" points. In order to win, a player has to hit a specified amount of points. This would clear up the diluted nature of the existing scoring system, while still including what makes it great.
Exactly. Whenever I do this with friends, we just do 5 points. It is much easier to understand for people who want to try.
Exactly what I was thinking to. Still better than that one scoring system where 1 strike is worth 30 though lol

Fantastic game
It was a good experiment. But this is not tennis, it's bowling. Inherently it's much more aggressive, more noise, more speed, more weight, ect. So I think this style is simply boring to the game of bowling.
Big fan of belmo. I also bowl with two hands averaging 190, God I love bowling.

AlmostGoodTV We specifically wanted an American accent for that video. Time constraints to present at Bowl Expo, required the Voice Over Artist to complete the recording script only, without having any video vision available (editing had been delayed). I think he did an incredible job considering circumstances. However, Bowling Freak is entitled to express an opinion. I welcome all feedback, thanks for watching. Hope people find our other videos entertaining as well

X Games Bowling oh gosh. finished reading your post... wtf dude. make it once, do it right. i agree that he did a good job for the circumstances, but maybe you should have him kick back a few brews and commentate it from a video replay later in the evening. that way like... you know... the content isnt low quality.

This scoring system is the most ridiculous fiasco I have seen in regards to bowling. It is just plain boring to watch even with the between shot down time removed. I can only hope that the Olympics do not put this on television. I would rather not see bowling in the Olympics at all, than see this travesty be put on television.

I don't find it confusing, but it really is a stupid scoring system. I agree with the op as well that it makes the game really boring.
lol, for us tennis players, this is our scoring system using points, games, sets, and match point.

Damn' i didn't know you could ball with 2 hands ! It looks a very effective technique and more entertaing to watch!!Bowling is not popular in belgium, there is not much place to bowl and it' s very expansive to play. Can't wait to go try that 2 hands technique though...

I lied the match, but the commentary wasn't too great to listen to.
+Mike Douglas This video was filmed in Australia but voice-overed in US by a commentator who had a run sheet with the scores and minutes and seconds for timing. He had no visuals to work with and read from the run sheet to commentate. At the time of recording I felt there was good reason to do it this way, in hindsight, a mistake, wish I had gone with Australian commentary.

Thanks for your comments Marcus. Feedback from players in Teams matches suggests XGB is actually much more engaging than traditional team play. XGB can include strategies into team play where team line-up can be changed at various stages within the match so a team can work together to produce a better team result eg: Team may decide to sacrifice their weakest player against their oppositions best player in order to win a greater overall number of points in each game.

I really like this scoring system. Perhaps not to watch it but I can imagine playing by this type of score the pressure is really on when you're bowling 1v1's.

What's the speed on their balls here? Wait that sounded kinda weird lol. Why don't they show the ball speed? Looks about 15ish though for Belmonte, depending on his approach.
Belmonte usually throws about 20, unless he's going soft. Looks like he's throwing it just a bit slower at maybe 18 or 19.

The scoring system reminds me of tennis. Good for match play, not so much for team play.
