Fida Khan Sahib is a very sureela and seasoned vocalist. I got interested in his work in 1976 when I heard his ghazal "dooor tak chaaye thai badal aur koi saya na tha" from Radio Pakistan. Then he visited UK with his Ustad Ghulam Ali Khan Sahib and sang beautiful ghazals such as "Raat jab saghiroon mein dhalti hai." He has an amazing command on bol and sur and is a brilliant harmunium player. Late Mehdi Hasan Sahib is quoted to have him as one of the favorites.
