Born and raised in the Westend 26th and Magazine to be exact. I remember the 80’s and this is not how it was then. We would go skating at Broadway on Thursday, Friday, Saturday Night and Sunday Night we would hit The Roost. Saturday afternoon would be spent at the Galleria or Bashford Manor Mall, then we would flood Shawnee Park on our Sprees (Red Sprees). Ninjas would be bumper to bumper like sardines in that park. Like Will Smith said “two miles an hour, so everybody sees you”. You do not realize you are in the “Good Old Days” until they are gone. I would do that ish all over again😂
I know this is a few years old now...some of that has been torn down, rebuilt. Overall it looked like any normal suburb, single family dwellings with grass and trees. But I don't live there and don't go there at night. There's a crime map...there are simply certain parts of town to avoid if you want to stay out of trouble. But to me it just looks likes a residential neighborhood.
What was the big red factory off in the distance at 17:30 ? Im trying to figure out if its the abandoned factory I saw when I got lost in Louisville. I was traveling west on 64, and there was a detour that put me west of downtown. 90% of the windows were gone, and graffiti covered the bricks. Apparently somebody forgot to put up the rest of the detour signs, because we drove forever it seemed. So when I got to the red building, I made a right and it took me downtown towards the Galt house. I thought I'd never get back to 64w. It was getting dark, and becoming hard to see because there were no street lights until i got closer to 64
I lived in Louisville on Bank Street till I was 7. The city took our house to build a ramp to the bridge. These houses look like the one we lived in. I went to Portland Elementary till we moved. Wow that was a very long time ago.

Nothing should be in the frame but what’s being viewed! The driver must always remove himself or herself from the video as completely as possible. It distracts the focus of those viewing the video, and takes away from the whole experience of what’s being viewed! It distracts the tourist! And the camera should always be centered towards the center of the street and not be swiveled from side to side from time to time. And the music and turn signals should be silenced. They distract from the point and purpose! Well... other than those few things... that’s my two cents. Other than that... great video. And, I like Louisville’s vibe! Doesn’t seem to be too bad of a place.

We had to protect grocers with bats because it was our only source of food during severe lockdown. There’s shies over wires everywhere in front of falling apart rowhouses. Louisville is heaven compared to that hellhole. People here are kind while Philly is jaded and miserable.
