Thank you for this video. It made my day. I'm proud of the work we all did on this series!
You did a wunderful Version of Iroh and I am so excited to see where the journey will take you.
Thank you for making me feel all the right emotions!
Greeting from Germany!
Thank you for the great performance of Uncle Iroh!🔥
Ayy!!! Thank you Paul for playing the best uncle in the world... hope to see you more in the future!
We couldn't have asked for a better Iroh! It's a wonderful adaptation and I can't wait for more!
Thank you and all others for this great live action of my childhood show ♥
You've dont a brilliant job!
I applaud that this Iroh looks a lot like Iroh and not look like some guy that came straight from Hobbit.
Who do you mean?
@@sanghukers1577 The guy named "Eeroh" from M. Shyamalan movie? Feels like that guy belong in Hobbit more than Avatar.
Right
Idk he looks alittle goofy. I don’t really like his voice, doesn’t have that raspy wise old man sound. It just doesn’t live up to Iroh in the cartoon
Still a good character tho@@coryjack606
That division 41 revelation still hit me. Great addition
That scene really added to the story. I love LA for it.
The unit of the fire nation that Prince Zuko saved and he has the scars to prove it.
Yeah, I really like that addition myself.
Right, I didn't know that :(
Same and it's a shame his crew are gone now. I know the lived action show differ from the original show but I assume they are keeping Zuko and Iroh as fugutives in season 2 !
Iroh to Zuko be like:
Ozai may be your father boy, but he ain’t your daddy
Captain America: "I understood that reference!"
@@jonkeathegamer I was too late TWICE
@@avacado4706 You'll get 'em next time xD
@@jonkeathegamer hopefully😔
I do appreciate the extra mile the adaptation took of showing how Iroh and Zuko's bond truly began to be something special with Lu Ten's funeral. Iroh is mourning quietly while given simple condolences for his son the post humorous hero and lowkey insults for his "cowardice." Zuko? He did a lot more on actually being there to comfort his uncle. The source material had Iroh always knew of Zuko's kindness buried in self loathing and bitterness but I liked how the funeral demonstrated how he realized this kindness personally during his lowest point.
I also loved that scene so much. I added so much to their bond and reminded us of Iroh's grief without having to directly take from the source material. It was a brilliant new angle that strengthened their bond both in universe and in our minds.
Despite overall feeling underwhelmed with certain aspects of this show, moments like this between Zuko and Iroh were pretty much always a win, and that alone makes me hope for future seasons to get greenlit.
That 41st Division is a brilliant addition
I love how they're emphasizing the importance of Lu-Ten.
I realised why this uncle iroh feels different to the animated series, he doesnt have a mask of a pleasant demeanour like early uncle iroh did, always smiling and pleasant even when zuko snaps at him
When they directly altered things from the show, I think they messed up, but when they expanded on what was there, they nailed it. Especially with Iroh and Zuko.
Yeah, it's a tight rope to walk. There's stumbles in season 1, but I believe that with scenes like these, they truly understand the series and can only get better as they mature with time.
I actualy really liked how they added Zuko's crew to be the soldiers they were going to essentially send to their deaths.
Becoming a father makes Iroh scenes hit much harder than they used to.
Iroh is the greatest father figure in fiction. Not just animated, movie, or book fiction. All fiction.
This is my last video about the Avatar live action series. I really enjoyed this Netflix adaptation. Yes, it's not perfect, but it's really good. I think fans should be grateful that their favorite story was filmed. If you don’t like it, that’s fine (constructive critique is a good thing), but please don’t insult the actors in the comment section. Thank you!
You did a good job. ❤
Great job but why is this your last? There's probably gonna be two more seasons.
I liked it too
@@Deathrydar he probably meant that as for now, he’d still make a video of ATLA if the series get renewed/continued.
Agree. The Netflix series is unexpectedly good. Actors who play Aang, Zuko, Iroh and Ozai are particularly good.!
All the added backstories for each of the character was amazing....they give so much depth and respect to them.
La implementación de la división 41 fue extremadamente buena
I cried watching this. And then there are people who have the nerve to call this adaption bad 😢
It's fine to have issues with it, everyone has opinions, but even the critics I've read say that they got Zuko and Iroh right. On that, I agree.
It's fine for some people to have criticism towards the live adaptation. Tbh there are some artistic liberty that really ticks off some fans. Me, i have some pet peeves as well. For example in the cartoon aang really hated hated being the avatar and ran away after finding out about it leaving a rift between him and monk giatso. So his death really affected aang as he was riddled with a lot of guilt from blowing up on monk giatso. In the live action, he just reconcile with monk giatso and went for a stroll to reflect. It really mellowed down the emotion of guilt once he discovered monk giatso's death
The show its like a 7 out of 10
They made some characters just right, but for others... They found a perfect cast for Aang and than ruined his character. Like many others already said, they managed pretty well on expanding what was in original, but every character they tried to rethink or alter they ruined.
Zuko feels like he's fighting everyone. Whether or not it's the cartoon or this show you're watching, you can see that Iroh was always on his side, thick and thin, even when Zuko couldn't see it or acknowledge it.
Anyone is lucky to have a father like him ❤
R.I.P mako. I’ll always have your voice with those incredible lines written for you.
Yeah Kyoshi episode was badass, but this episode is my absolute favorite. Really like how they showed another depth to the bind between Iroh and Zuko. Looking forward to the next season!
It made me cry the same way it made me cry about 15 years ago.
They really did well with the live action adaption.
did not think that iroh could be shown as more emotional. the emotions Paul Sun-Hyung Lee portrays with the depth. its brings new depth into iroh's character.
This was beautiful. Thank you for capturing the essence of Iroh and Zuko's relationship so amazingly
Great video. Iroh and Zuko’s relationship was the heart of the show. The funeral scene almost had me tear bending.
Iroh is the icon how a man and a father should be.
They better drop a new season soon. We were expecting trash and they in return gave us gold. Zuko, Iroh, and the 41st were amazing. Please have another season! :')
Zuko and Iroh were the best part of the Netflix series. This Iroh is a lite different and I like how the actor made it his own performance and not just a copy of Mako's.
I loved they touched on the consequence of Iroh's past. That scene with the Earth Kingdom Soldier was powerful. You can see the guilt on Iroh's eyes.
The heart of a father is the masterpiece of Nature.
♥️
I really love live-action Avatar The Last Airbender netflix series.
10/10❤❤❤❤
Whether it’s the animated one or the live action one everyone needs an Uncle Iroh
No matter if it is live action or animation... no one can argue that the absolute G.o.a.t is iroh
I am not afraid to admit the funeral breaks me every single time I watch it. Legit just tears every time.
I like this actors performance
His exchange with earth soldier was amazing
He doesn't act all jolly like the cartoon iroh
You can see his composes demeanor , which is after years of experience of life.
Hardened by the trauma
That Shymalan version was so horrendous, it's like Shymalan didn't even watch the cartoon to know how important of a character Iroh was. And he calls himself a father.
We need a Season 2.. Please Netflix..
Uncle iroh is the best character in the tv series and animated show
Damn, I'm in tears. You bastard.
best UNCLE in the world .. dammi...
Iroh deserves that medal. It was from his son, to his second son, and then to him. No one deserves it more than him
“Like I said, all the tea I need.”
-Uncle Iroh
Ok I'll give them this... Zuko and Iroh is PERFECT. Wish we can get more from team Avatar...
THANK U IVE BEEN WAITING FOR U TO MAKE A TRIBUTE TO IROH TYTYTYYYY I LOVE THISS
This version is so good that I actually enjoy it more than the animation..its so intense.
1:25 There's a subtle feeling in the interactions on screen between these two that the only reason Iroh and Ozai haven't thrown down is because neither are sure they'd win that fight.
Zuko and Iroh were honestly my two favorite characters in the first season.
In Zuko's life, it was always Iroh who gave him comfort and guidance, and Iroh whom he turned to for, well, everything. Iroh was more of his dad than his own father was.
the second half of this has the BEST KIND of trailer vibe, holy shit, like particularly 3:00 and onward
Casting Carson Tava/Mr Kim as uncle iroh is something I did not know i needed
I can't stop crying!!!
I love his character
the scene pacing is absolute perfection
only reason i watched the show . Paul Sun-Hyung Lee
played a minor yet likeable charracter in mandolorian also
"But Black Dynamite, I'm the 41st Division"
The best uncle ever.
I have a lot o mixed feelings towards this series but DAMN if they didnt go hard on Zuko and Iroh! The writing and the actors for this two characters ARE AMAZING and i'll defend them with my life. Thank you for this video! 🙏🙏🙏
Been waiting for the Iroh video. Thank you!
Amazing edit, emotional and well put together ❤
leaves from the vine falling so slow ...😥 no matter you are always our uncle . Uncle iroh
This show was lowkey really good in its own way and i hope we get a second season
Mako would be proud...I can't wait for him to sing 'Leaves on the Vine'
I was truly surprise how good the adaptation is to live action. Is it flawed? Absolutely but I don’t think it was ever possible to be able to adapt something from animation to live action perfectly. Great stuff
This and Percy Jackson show needs an improvements in season 2, they're not perfect, but still better adaptation than the previous movies
Agree. I can't believe the live action series of Percy Jackson and Avatar: The Last Airbender are such good. Good job, Disney+ and Netflix!
There is a lot of promise and potential in the shows. They just need to bring the same energy to every storyline and character
Iroh. 🥹 I will love him in every version for his wisdom and his unconditional love and support for his nephew. This is so beautiful!!! "Everything I need is on this boat." 😭
This is beautiful 😭😭😭
Well now I actually want to watch this series. Thank you!
This is the best one you've done.
This convinces me that they need a season 2
One of my favourite character both from the cartoon and this live action Uncle Iroh. 😊
Its tooo muchhh for my little heart
I feel like I just watched an amazing add for a show solely about Zuko and Iroh 😍😍😍
Best part of the show
What a great video tribute.
still watering my eyes...
This video is very impressive. You did very good editing and what a great quality!
I just love how they stuck so close to the original series
im not sure if i like the netflix series, but one thing that i love is that zuko is not sent with just any crew, but the crew that was to be sacerficed
Looking great
Amazing show!❤
Just when I was thing that they can't make Zuko and Iroh relationship better they make this series
I'll be honest.
The only reason I really wanted to watch this live series is to see how they will translate Iroh and Zuko's relationship.
Because it was the nearest thing to having a father's love for me.😅
Anyway thanks for making this video and lets hope the series gets renewed for another season even with a few hiccups.
This is so goodddsdsd
The castings for both Ozai and Iroh are perfect except that they don't look anything like brothers.
Best series
Dam ninjas cutting onions !!! I am crying like a litle girl because of you. 🥲
The Irohny is, that a korean who played a superstitious korean store owner ("remember 1910") now plays a character in a fantasy story who is based on japanese like culture/nation.
(Fire-Japan, Water-Indonesia, Earth-China and Wind-Tibet)
This adaptation better not mess up Mako's Tribute!
*_F A E R_*
_I felt that_
F word ! this remix is masterpiece.
In the original series we never hear of the 41st division again so it can be assumed they were still used as bait regardless and died. But in this making them Zuko's ship crew was a neat addition. It's because of Zuko that they are alive
He’s missing his wholesome goofy side of him.
That's it, that's what felt off about him in this adaptation. I couldn't put my figure on it. Thanks
Still love the show.
The whole show has a more serious tone. It's not just Iroh.
I was worried how they were gonna do the show. Zuko and Irohs relationship carried a lot in the cartoon. And they got that part in the show very right.
The tearbending.
Cet films me passionne trop, suis impatient de mater la saison prochaine ❤🇨🇩
Iroh 😍
Today I learned the name of Paul Sun-Hyung Lee. Paul Sun-Hyung Lee is the best. Done. It's over. I don't know of another actor right now that hits like this guy. Well done Paul Sun-Hyung Lee.
Iroh the fire bender that dont wait for the comet to use chi to fire bend
Leaves from the vine
Falling so slow
Like fragile tiny shells
Drifting in the foam
Little soldier boy
Come marching home
Brave soldier boy
Comes marching home
Carson Teva being Good Uncle for Zuko😊😊
I have never watched the original series. Relations between Uncle Iroh and Zuko in my opinion are the best part of the life action series, it makes the whole show special to me because of the following reasons:
1. Uncle Iroh and Zuko were presented as villains, but gradually it is revealed that they are just people with their stories and clearly aren't evil at all.
2. It's not often when you see a bond between an older and a younger character which is based on mutual respect.
3. The acting of both actors was incredible. Outstanding performance, with so many little nuances.
And thats why u should see the original show too
@@deserteur7211 already finished season 2. I won't spoil anything in case someone reads this, but I think live action will make some moments hit even harder, because animation has its limitations (as well as live action has its own limitations, too).
Daniel Dae Kim is a great fucking actor even with a botched script
