- Yatri, one of the most innovative startups which was registered on 6 december 2017 at the office of company register, has been getting a lot of traction in recent days.
Yatri has halted its production as their bikes are not being recognized by the government of Nepal as "registered bikes" and riders have been getting into trouble a lot.
What's this fuss about? Is the Government of Nepal the villain here or the yatri team is in the wrong?

There is nothing so mind-boggling to understand, in my opinion ...... it's short and simple. The government of Nepal is totally corrupted. What's more ironic is that they never support their own citizen progress, rather drain them economically and mentally. It's relevant to the old Mustang pickup vehicle case. The company got shut down completely without any reason.
I hope, in future our country manufacturers electric vehicles every 2,3 & 4 wheelers in affordable price for citizen's.

Yeah I don't like their design language at all. I know they're trying to stand out but the designs look so uninspiring and flat. But I guess it's a way for keeping the cost down. Flat and uncomplicated designs mean cheaper manufacturing cost. But I really wish their bikes were a bit more curvy and sculpted. It needs to evoke some kind of emotion in the beholder.

@@Oggimann i doubt. The p1 was supposed to be their price friendly offering (and i'm using this term lightly). AFAIK they outsource the process of manufacturing the body panels. Making complicated designs was only going to cost them more, which would have increased the price of the vehicle and turned off a lot of potential buyers. The bike is already asking a lot of price for what it is. Yatri couldn't afford to make it anymore expensive.

Well said! When cities are getting popularity in pollution, there should be government-level research on how to work on those issues. People are getting sick because of the pollution created by public transportation. Public transportations are so bad that they produce harmful gases but the government is still allowing those vehicles. I wonder rather than working on the pollution issues, why are they attacking the business?

@@ssuuy The founders of the company have political connection (which is the co-founder's dad i.e. the main founder's uncle, this guy is a big politician and businessman from the area that the founders originate from). Which explains how they were able to get all this capital to start the project as well as how it has been able to survive for as long as it has. Anything manufacturing related has never been able to survive or even get off the ground properly in Nepal for a long time now simply due to corrupt politicians that get paid off by indian companies but Yatri has been able to not only survive but sell something as big as motorcycles in nepal which is like a pipedream for any other ordinary person.

We don’t need just concerned only we need proper documentation, orelse we don’t want hear some kind of news for example it was already declared by prime minister that people are allowed to bring 2 mobile phones but in airports the senario was different.
