I seriously love the half water map! Getting to see half of it really shows you the impact it has when yall move between halves and how you have to adjust your playstyles mid game. I would enjoy seeing more half maps like this!

Also if you ever do thing again I think it would be really cool if each element had a field effect + a power up. For example:
Fire: Power Hitter + heat causes the ball to rise to the ceiling
Water: Water field + Freeze
Earth: High Gravity + Spikes
Air: Tornados + wind pushes the ball towards the middle

🔥🌬🌊🪨Fully implemented abilities:
🔥Fireball = like haymaker, slightly weaker, more range.
🌬Wind ghust = like plunger, less acceleration, ball hovers over the ground.
🌊Wave push = accelerates the ball in its travel direction, magnet range.
🪨Eart pillar = throws the ball into the air, whole field range.

Leth finally realising the gravity is only affecting the field at the same height as the water is was kinda funny in itself.
I thought it was only taking effect once the ball and cars touched the floor.
13:43 If I had a nickel for every time the ball did that while in the water half, I had two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Next it's time to add sub-bending 😂 Blood bending, flight, lava bending and combustion bending! Great video as usual
I find it crazy that Leth consistently does more for Rocket League than the dev team does.
The durations became normal for both in the middle of the last match.
Leth and Zurx is the best duo
I feel like a rumble version of ATLA would be something like this;
The Water Tribes:
Freeze - Ice bending
Disruptor - "Blood bending"
The Earth Kingdom:
Spikes and Grapple - Metalbending, especially the grapple like the wires the metalbenders use in LoK
Boot - An earthbender has their feet planted on the ground
The Fire Nation:
Power hitter - Fire is the element of power
Magnet - "Lightning bending"
The Air Nomads:
Tornado - Airbending
Swap -"Spirit projection"
the only ones I can't fit in is the haymaker and plunger.
Putting them with earth for a full metalbending set seemed a little too op.
I also got the idea to put them with water since they neatly represent the "push and pull" philosophy of the Ocean and Moon, but again, too op with the others.
I guess a Republic City team could get those?
Figured since the idea of Republic City is to be a place of balance and unity for all peoples of all nations

What I was thinking for an actual game mode.
The water element gets the magnet effect and the visual design would be like a water rope or a stream of water that rotates around the player, when used there will be the same effect around the ball but less water around the player as if they used the water that was around them.
The fire element is the boomer but it has to charge up from driving or demos (demos cause it to charge faster) and it has 3 stages of power: warm (low), hot (medium), and fireball (high).
The visuals for hitting the ball is like a ring of fire that bursts out from where the ball was hit (I think the knock-out mode has the fire effects), and the fireball stage lights the ball on fire (have the heatseeker visual but just more firey) but its just visual no damage if other team tries to catch it.
Earth element could send out a shock wave in a circle around the player that knocks the ball and any enemies around them up (the game has this in the free play training where it will launch the ball up into the air). The range of the effect would need to be short so it's not OP
Air element could send out a burst of air like the earth element but instead forward and slightly up like a combo of Haymaker and the Boot. The range of the effect would need to be short but further than the earth element since it's in front of the player and not in a circle around them.
Passive effects, after the use of an element there should be some after-effect that lingers after each use.
Fire: increased boost or boost charge or boost strength.
Air: gets 3 jumps or less gravity.
Water: isn't affected by the water on their side of the map or the water gives an increase to either their boost of ability charge.
Earth: I don't know what to do for this other than maybe an increase in speed while on the ground, this is so that they'd have to choose between jumping in the air after using their ability or staying on the ground for the increased speed to get more boost or a better position.
The map design would be half and half of the maps that match the team's element. At 5:57 is a good view to show what I will be describing. The waterside will have half of the aquadome; the fireside will be the fire half of the map from season 9, the Forbidden Temple (Fire and Ice).
To separate the maps so it's not a straight-cut line. Have a semi-transparent dimensional crack. Semi-transparent so the player camera can still see through it.

My theory for the gravity issue, I think sometime it doesn't work because, just like in real life, getting far enough from the ground will negate gravity, so the game shares that same concept and when the ball is far enough from the ground, there is little gravity

I feel like it would have worked better if each element had a map change and power up. Like water gets the water and freeze, air gets tornado and light gravity on their side, fire gets powerfist and maybe a chance to explode on their side or to be hit by fireballs, earth gets high gravity and punch or kick. Or maybe earth gets powerhitter and fire gets punch so its like a fireball instead of a red fist.
Just something that makes it so each element has a way to attack and a side advantage.
The mental side of seeing the Takumi is what I call The Power of the Scarab. A car that no one uses can sike people out. But nothing is quite the same as the Scarab. Thing is near unbeatable.
Is it just me or is Zurx like SSL now?? The reads he was hitting ins the first game was insane. I love these 4 but coco and rapid and so fun aswell. More vids with Flitz and also where is THE LETHALS DUO!!?!?!?

Hey leth! Love the videos. Had an idea for a map where half the field is flipped upside down along with its gravity. Could make for some cool “ceiling” plays and wacky stuff.
Potentially Improved version: all elements carry both a field status effect and an ability. So it doesn’t feel like you just get punished by some elements.
Fire: Magnet or Disrupter (one looks like lightning the other a laser blast, either works aesthetically), slick floor (say it’s oil or it’s so hot your tires melt whatever)
Water: Freezer (with good timing and increased uses this could be strait up broken), water field
Earth: Power Hitter, high gravity (power hitter makes more sense for them especially on earth’s side where it’s harder to defend.)
Air: Tornado, low gravity (enough said)
This is one of the greatest video ideas in a minute good stuff leth

all I've learned is Rocket League The Avatar is the exact reverse of The Avatar Trilogy with the Elements
Video idea.. make a 2v2 rumble mode with the 4 elements from avatar, each player gets a random element, each element gives you 2 abilities:
Earth:
1) You can raise a boulder in front of the car, the boulder can launch the ball or opponents cars up (if you create it directly below them);
2) You can pull the boulder towards your car and it will fly towards you independently of where you are on the field and then bump you car with force but not demo, propeling you. If the boulder hits an oppponent's car or the ball mid flight it will demo them or push the ball.
Fire:
1) You can throw a long range fire ball that can demo opponents or push the ball but only from the exaust/backside of the car
2) You can create an explosion directly below the car which will send you flying, similar to an empty jump but much stronger.
Water:
1) You can throw a slow moving water sphere from the front of the car which will engulf any opponent it hits and make them slow and heavy for a brief period of time, if the water sphere hits the ball it engulfs the ball, ending its momentum and then pushes it along with the water sphere towards the original direction the water sphere was going
2) You can throw a fast homing water whip directly at the ball which will send it flying in a completely random direction at a very high speed (only works in close range)
Air:
1) You can throw an extremely fast air sphere from the front of your car which only interacts with the ball, if it manages to hits the ball it keeps it in place for 3 second spinning it and building speed, if nobody touches it during that period of time the ball is launched directly towards the opposing team net at very high speed.
2) You can activate an air sphere around your car which will grant you infinite boost and faster car speed for a period of time.
Balance it with cooldowns.
cool concept but I feel like earth should have the haymaker or something because they don't have any advantage

What you should do is a field effect like gravity and a rumble item for each element.
Like air should be crazy low gravity with tornado
Your gravity only worked when the ball was only the same height as the water was or lower than the water.

Ballbending, bending balls.
Rocket League is actually very much like a physical Magic the Gathering, obviously it is very different but you can learn a lot from both. Vapor Snag. I actually created an Mtg format around Rocket League, but it is not finished quite yet. I am far from a car or sports person but fell in love with this game, I see so many card mechanics within it.
Note how one single content creator has created better modes within 2 years than psyonix has in their entire history
The only thing that would make this better is if you made the goal explosions correspond to each side. Light air side gets the electric storm one, fire gets a fire one, water gets the fish one, earth gets idk.
19 season rumble main here. 4500 hours of rumble. Tornado is by FAR superior to boomer/powerhitter... the amount of things the tornado can do compared to the amount of things the boomer can do makes it win the direct head to head by miles... The defensive uses for tornado greatly outdo that of boomer, as do the offensive uses for it. On all fronts, whether in 3v3, or 1v1, the tornado wins the head to head.
HOWEVER... if the person/team that has the tornado does not know how to properly dribble, fly, flick, etc with it... then the boomer will be better for that person/team... it is an EXTREMELY high skill ceiling rumble item, but just like anything with a high skill ceiling, it requires practice to master! (sorry jg, but that would be why whenever you try to use it, like you said, it doesnt work)

Y’all should do a round where it’s just avatar vs avatar and both sides have all the ability’s
giving the players abilities might be kinda cool, have it binded like rumble abilities w/ cool downs, and a flip active if “drifting when flipping” (like knock out)
Fire would have the haymaker when activated on ground and active drifting flip variant would shoot out fire ball that demos or hits ball and explodes on impact
Wind wind gust up when used on floor that can toss ball and enemies up, drifting flip variant would shoot wind forward
Water on ground would form a small water whir pool that can catch and hold the ball and drift flip variant would turn it into a water wave that carries the ball and cars forward a bit
And earth would create a temporary rock pilar on ground and flip would spawn a temporary wall like when toph stomps on the floor
I dont know if it even possible to code something like this into rocket league but might be cool

This would be awesome with a Pokémon arena kinda thing where the different elements have different things on the field like the water. So for earth you have giant boulders blocking the way and for fire have lava stuff tht demos you or smthing

Since there seems to be 2 elements at an advantage and 2 at a disadventage, maybe you could do a version with wind in the map like you already did in the past (Air) and for fire, it demoes you every x seconds. Then, every elements is kind of a mess.

I find it almost saddening that a content creator is willing to create a game mode for a specific content pack that's somehow the AAA company that is creating the content packs but somehow Don't seem to do anything but create a monetizable skins that bring no real value to the game other than cosmetics
